There is good news for bank employees. There can be a big change in the weekly holiday in banks. Banks in India will remain open only for five days in a week and there can be holidays for 2 days. This is still under consideration. If everything goes well, then a decision on this can be taken on July 28. At present, apart from Sundays, every second and fourth Saturday is a holiday in banks.

According to a report, the Indian Banking Association (IBA) may take this decision in a meeting with the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) on Friday next week. UFBU said on July 19 that they had raised the issue of introducing 5 banking days in the previous discussion.

Working hours will increase

If the proposal of working 5 days a week is implemented, then all the employees will have to increase the daily working hours by 40 minutes. This is likely to be discussed in the meeting on July 28. Along with this, it is also necessary to get approval from the Ministry of Finance and RBI.

Only 5 days work in LIC branch

Recently, the country’s largest insurance company Life Insurance Corporation of India had made a big announcement. LIC offices now open only 5 days a week. This rule has been implemented in LI in May. Its need has come into limelight after the government implemented the rule of 5 working days in LIC.

The post Good news for bank employees, can get 2 weekly holidays soon, know when will be announced? first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
