According to an official release issued by the ministry, 4 per cent reservation will be provided to persons with disabilities in the allotment of central government housing, which will be an important step towards equality, respect and access in public services. This decision will not only facilitate access to residential facilities for Divyangjan, but will also play an important role in improving their standard of living.

The ministry says that this step is an important effort towards promoting social inclusion and bringing the disabled into the mainstream. Under this, the infrastructure will also be made accessible keeping in mind the specific needs of the disabled in government residential complexes. A transparent and efficient mechanism will be developed to implement this policy, so that any kind of inequality in the housing allocation process can be prevented. For this, guidelines have been issued to the concerned departments, which will ensure that the benefits of the reservation policy reach the eligible persons in a timely manner.

Delhi Development Authority says that all the flats are ready to move in and are available on first come, first serve basis along with being freehold. The flats provided in the third phase of the housing scheme are located in Narela, Ramgarh, Rohini, Loknayak Puram, Jasola and Siraspur. Online applications for these flats have also started from today.

There are 7931 EWS and LIG flats available for sale in Sector G-7 and Pocket 11, Narela. The starting price of EWS flat is Rs 14 lakh. Its plinth area is 34.76 square meters. Whereas, the price of LIG starts from Rs 25.2 lakh and plinth area starts from 49.9 square meters. All these flats are newly built.

15 percent discount

DDA is offering 15% discount on MIG flats in Ramgarh Colony, Narela Sector, Sector A1-4 and Pocket A-1, 1B and 1C, near Jahangirpuri Metro Station. The price of these flats is Rs 85 lakh. Applications can also be made for eight HIG flats in Jasola. Their price starts from Rs 2 crore. There are 838 LIG flats available in Rohini with prices starting at Rs 14.1 lakh. 107 LIG flats in Siraspur are available at a starting price of Rs 17.41 lakh and 89 LIG flats in Loknayakpuram are available at a starting price of around Rs 27 lakh.

25 percent discount to government employees

DDA has come up with a special offer in the third housing scheme for government employees. Under this, government employees can take MIG (2 BHK) flats in Narela at 25 percent discount. In total, there are 445 such flats, whose plinth area is between 112.7-114.7 square meters. Its price after discount will be Rs 75 lakh.
