• ITR not verified
  Not only filing ITR, but also verifying ITR is important. It is necessary to verify ITR using Aadhaar OTP. If this is not done, there may be a delay in refund.
• Error in account details
  If you have given wrong information about your bank account, then this can also be the reason for delay in refund. This can happen due to bank account number, IFSC code, micro code or wrong name.
• Filing wrong return
  If you have filed ITR return but any kind of information in the return is incomplete or wrong, then a notice is received under section 139 (9). 15 days are also given to correct this mistake. In such a situation, this can also be the reason for delay in refund.
• High amount
  If you have filed ITR and are now waiting for refund, then high amount of refund can be the reason for delay. Income Tax Department closely examines the refund of high amount. Only after this the refund is processed.
