India’s largest airline is offering this offer to benefit passengers amid rising air fares before the festive season. Customers can avail this offer till September 30.

This promotion is available on domestic and international sectors through IndiGo’s website and mobile app. Under this, discounts will be given on services like seat selection, extra baggage, check-in and meal mix. Customers can avail this offer till September 30.

Passengers will get the option to choose their preferred seat through the ‘Seat Select’ feature. They can also book extra luggage or sports equipment in advance. The ‘Fast Forward’ service facilitates check-in and boarding. Apart from this, services like ‘6E Prime’ and ‘6E Seat & Eat’ are also being offered.

However, airlines like IndiGo, Vistara, and Air India Express have offered discounts. But there has been no significant drop in airfares. Vistara’s one-way domestic fares in its August 15 ‘Freedom Sale’ started at Rs 1,578, while Air India Express’ ‘Flash Sale’ had fares going up to Rs 1,037 for bookings till August 25.

Travelers booking flights for Diwali, Durga Puja and Dussehra are still facing high fares. Airfares to famous destinations like Goa and Jaipur have increased by 15-20 percent in October and November. Meanwhile, advance bookings for the festival period have increased by 30-35 percent compared to last year, putting pressure on fares.
