Diwali Bank Holidays: Online or internet banking, mobile banking, UPI services remain operational during the holidays. In many places, the fervour of Diwali lasts until the Chhath festival that follows.

That is why banks remain closed at some places even on Chhath. On holidays related to a particular region, only the banks of a particular state or region remain closed.

Diwali is almost here. Diwali celebrations will begin from Dhanteras. Diwali is considered a public holiday and on this occasion, like other institutions, banks are also closed. This time there is confusion about Diwali whether it will be celebrated on 31 October or 1 November. In such a situation, let us know on which of these two days, where the banks will remain closed…

31 October: Diwali (Deepawali)/Kali Puja/Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birthday/Narak Chaturdashi- Banks closed across the country except Tripura, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir

November 1: Diwali Amavasya (Lakshmi Pujan)/Deepavali/Kut/Kannada Rajyotsava- Banks closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya

November 2: Diwali (Bali Pratipada)/ Balipadmi/ Lakshmi Puja (Deepawali)/ Govardhan Puja/ Vikram Samvat New Year Day – Banks closed in Gujarat, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra

On which day holiday is there on Chhath festival

In many places, the joy of Diwali lasts till the next festival of Chhath. That is why banks remain closed in some places on Chhath. Where and on which day will the banks be closed on Chhath this time…

November 7: Chhath (evening prayer) – Banks closed in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand

November 8: Chhath (Morning Arghya)/Vangala Festival- Banks closed in Bihar, Jharkhand, Meghalaya

Banks are closed across the country due to fourth Saturday of the month on October 26 and Sunday on October 27 before Diwali.

Two categories of holidays

Bank customers should remember that some bank holidays are under the ‘National Holiday’ category and some holidays/festivals are related to a particular state or region. Only the banks of a particular state or region remain closed on holidays related to a particular region. Therefore, bank customers should go to the bank only after checking the bank holiday list and finish their work on time.

Internet Banking: The payment system in the country has changed rapidly in the last few years. The dominance of digital banking and internet banking has increased in India. The Reserve Bank of India has announced that major changes are going to take place in the internet banking system and the easy payment system will be launched by the end of the year. After these changes, payment aggregator will no longer be required for such transactions.

At present, while using internet banking, banks require a payment aggregator. Because of this, they have to negotiate with different aggregators for each platform. An ‘aggregator’ is a third party service provider that acts as a link between customers and businesses. Changes in the RBI system will provide huge benefits to businessmen and transactions will be settled quickly.

Businessman faces problems due to payment aggregator

Payment aggregator is a third party service provider that enables businesses to accept online payments from customers. In such a situation, banks have to integrate with different payment aggregators for each platform, due to which this process becomes complicated. Apart from this, many times the business also faces delay in receiving the payment amount.

Businessmen will benefit

To overcome this problem of traders and banks, RBI has decided to change the rules. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has also said that NPCI Bharat Bill Pay Limited has been given approval to start a system so that there is no need for third party payment aggregator (Merchant Payment). There is a plan to implement this system in the current financial year. Shaktikanta Das has expressed hope that with the implementation of this new system, the money transactions of the traders will be settled immediately and this will also increase the trust of the users on digital payments.

The post Net Banking: RBI will soon make big changes in internet banking, transactions will be easy first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
