The animals will be kept in the SLR coach, which is reserved for the guards. Animal owners can provide water, food etc. to their pets at train stoppages. Railways have put some conditions for online booking of cattle tickets. The ticket of the passenger should be confirmed. No refund of animal ticket will be given if the passenger cancels the ticket.

If the train is canceled or delayed by more than three hours, the animal ticket fee will not be refunded, only the passenger ticket will be refunded. The official also said that large domesticated animals like horses, cows, buffaloes etc. are taken in goods trains after booking them. They should have a person to take care of them during the journey. The owner is liable for any damage to the animals. Railway is not responsible for this.
