What are the conditions for changing the name on the ticket?

First of all, know that the facility of changing the name on the ticket is available only on offline tickets, which you have booked from the reservation counter. In this too, you can change the names of only your close ones and family members. For example, the name of parents, siblings or son-daughter can be changed in place of the passenger. Even if you have booked a group ticket for a group of students or officials, the option of changing the name is available in it.

What is the process for changing the name

First of all, go to your nearest railway ticket reservation counter, where it will be necessary to reach 24 hours before the departure of the train.
To change the name on the ticket, you will have to apply in writing.
At the counter, you will have to provide the IDs of both the original passenger, whose name is written first, and the one in whose name the ticket is to be booked.
After submitting all the required documents, the railway official puts the name of the new passenger on the ticket.
The thing to be kept in mind is that the name on the ticket can be changed only once for one passenger.

How to change the journey date on the ticket

If you have bought the ticket from the counter then go to the reservation counter 48 hours before the departure of the train.
Submit your original ticket at the counter and apply to change your travel date earlier or later.
Tell the staff at the counter the date of your next journey and get another ticket.
Keep in mind that currently there is no option to change the date on tickets purchased online.
The option to change the date of travel is available only on confirmed or RAC tickets. Tatkal tickets are also not included in this.

Delhi-Panipat rapid rail corridor extension to Karnal – check stoppage stations & timetable

New Delhi. The corridor being built from the country’s capital Delhi to Panipat in Haryana has now been extended to Karnal. Recently, in a meeting between Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini in Delhi, an agreement was reached to run the Rapid Rail from Panipat to Karnal.

Soon a survey of the Rapid Rail Corridor will be done. The survey has been done till Panipat, but due to lack of budget, work on this project has not started yet. Now after its extension to Karnal, there is hope that work on it will start soon. Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) will be built from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Karnal.

The distance between Delhi and Karnal is 135 km. It currently takes two and a half hours to travel from Karnal to Delhi by road. With the introduction of Rapid Rail between Delhi and Karnal, the travel time will be reduced considerably and the Rapid Rail will cover the distance between the two cities in just 45 minutes. The Rapid Rail running on this route will run at a speed of 160 km per hour.

17 metro stations will be built from Delhi to Karnal.

After the extension of Delhi-Panipat Rapid Metro Rail Line to Karnal, metro stations have also been decided. 17 metro stations will be built from Delhi to Karnal. There will be 3 stations in Karnal. The work of Delhi-Karnal Rapid Rail Line will start soon. Along with the Central Government, the Haryana Government is also completely serious about this project. The work of marking the route of the train and its stations has been started.

The train will run in 6 to 10 minutes

Rapid Rail service will be available to passengers within 6 to 10 minutes. 250 people will be able to travel in this train at a time. Apart from Karnal, people of Kurukshetra, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kaithal and Chandigarh will benefit from the Rapid Rail running between Delhi-Karnal. After its running, people will save both time and money.
