]]> LPG cylinder price hike October: The countrymen received a major shock on the last day of Navratri and the first day of October. While the government may have gifted a GST cut before Diwali, the price of LPG cylinders was hiked by ₹16 at the beginning of the month.

This price hike has come into effect across the country from today. However, the only relief is that the government has increased the price of a 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinder, while the price of a domestic gas cylinder has remained unchanged.

Prices were reduced only last month

The government has been steadily reducing the price of commercial cylinders for the past few months. In September, the cylinder became cheaper by 51.50 paise. However, on the very first day of October, the government issued a shock by increasing the price of the 19-kilogram cylinder by 15 rupees.

Domestic cylinder prices have not decreased

In addition to commercial gas cylinders, domestic gas cylinder prices are also skyrocketing. The public has been waiting for a price reduction for quite some time. However, there has been no relief yet. Domestic gas cylinders were last replaced in April. At that time, the price of domestic cylinders was also increased by 50 rupees.

Public expectations dashed

The public was hoping for a reduction in the price of domestic gas cylinders during Dussehra and Diwali. However, this time too, their hopes have been dashed. The government has not reduced the price of domestic gas cylinders in October. However, the price of commercial cylinders has been increased by 16 rupees.
