When was the last time the price of domestic LPG cylinder was changed

The last time the price of domestic LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 50 was on 8 April 2025 and it became Rs 853 in Delhi. Since then the cylinder is available at the same rate. Earlier on 30 August 2023, the price of LPG cylinder was reduced by Rs 200.

Cylinder became cheaper by Rs 300

Domestic LPG cylinders were available in Delhi for Rs 1103 since March 1, 2023 and in one stroke, they came down to Rs 903. After August 30, 2023, once again on March 9, 2024, there was a big relief of Rs 100 and the price of the cylinder became Rs 803. That is, in a little more than two years, the price of LPG cylinder decreased by Rs 300 and increased by Rs 50. That is, a total relief of Rs 250 was given.

What was the price of cylinder on August 1, 2014

On August 1, 2014, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi was Rs 920. In Kolkata, it was available for Rs 964.5, in Mumbai for Rs 947 and in Chennai for Rs 922. By August 1, 2015, the next year, LPG prices were reduced drastically and it was reduced to Rs 585 in Delhi, Rs 619 in Kolkata, Rs 599 in Mumbai and Rs 603.5 in Chennai.

According to Indian Oil, on August 1, 2016, the 14 kg cylinder became cheaper in Delhi and was priced at Rs 487. In Kolkata, it was priced at Rs 514, in Mumbai at Rs 485 and in Chennai at Rs 499.5.

After this, on August 1, 2017, the price of domestic cylinder became Rs 524 in Delhi, Rs 543 in Kolkata, Rs 502.5 in Mumbai and Rs 533 in Chennai.

By August 1, 2018, the next year, the price of LPG cylinder increased to Rs 789.5 in Delhi, Rs 817.5 in Kolkata, Rs 764.5 in Mumbai and Rs 806 in Chennai.

On August 1, 2019, the price of a domestic cylinder was Rs 574.5 in Delhi, Rs 601 in Kolkata, Rs 546.5 in Mumbai and Rs 590.5 in Chennai.

After this, on August 1, 2017, the price of domestic cylinder became Rs 524 in Delhi, Rs 543 in Kolkata, Rs 502.5 in Mumbai and Rs 533 in Chennai.

By August 1, 2018, the next year, the price of LPG cylinder increased to Rs 789.5 in Delhi, Rs 817.5 in Kolkata, Rs 764.5 in Mumbai and Rs 806 in Chennai.

On August 1, 2019, the price of a domestic cylinder was Rs 574.5 in Delhi, Rs 601 in Kolkata, Rs 546.5 in Mumbai and Rs 590.5 in Chennai.

On August 1, 2020, the domestic cylinder was priced at Rs 594 in Delhi, Rs 621 in Kolkata, Rs 594 in Mumbai and Rs 610.5 in Chennai.

On August 17, 2021, a 14 kg cylinder was priced at Rs 859.50 in Delhi, Rs 886.00 in Kolkata, Rs 859.50 in Mumbai and Rs 875.50 in Chennai.

On August 30, 2023, a 14 kg cylinder was priced at Rs 903.00 in Delhi, Rs 929.00 in Kolkata, Rs 902.50 in Mumbai and Rs 918.50 in Chennai.
