DMRC Timings on 15 August: To facilitate the special guests, invitees and general public in the Independence Day celebrations on 15th August 2025, Delhi Metro will start its services at 4 am from all terminal stations on all its lines.

Regarding Independence Day, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has also released new timings for the operation of the metro. On Independence Day, Delhi Metro will start its services from 4 am. This has been done for the convenience of special guests and the general public participating in the Independence Day celebrations.

According to DMRC, for the convenience of special guests, invitees and general public in the Independence Day celebrations on Friday, August 15, 2025, Delhi Metro will start its services from all terminal stations on all its lines at 4 am. Rail services will be available at an interval of 30 minutes on all lines till 6 am. After that, regular timetable will be followed for the rest of the day.

Apart from this, those who have authentic invitation letter issued by the Ministry of Defense to attend the Independence Day celebrations will be provided with access to the venue using special QR tickets provided by DMRC. Lal Quila, Jama Masjid and Delhi Gate metro stations are the nearest to the venue.

Security at airport and metro station increased on Independence Day

Central security agency CISF has increased security at IGI airport in view of the possibility of a terrorist attack on Independence Day. CISF has said that security checks can take a lot of time, so passengers coming to the airport and metro station should reach these places well in advance.

Recently, the central security and intelligence agencies along with the aviation security regulator Bureau of Civil Aviation Security Airport had issued an alert of a possible threat. After this, CISF has increased security at IGI Airport as well as all the stations of Delhi Metro. Additional security forces have been deployed at these places.

CISF says that vigilance and surveillance has been increased on national festivals like Independence Day. The passengers coming to these places and their luggage are being thoroughly checked. Which is taking a lot of time. In such a situation, the crowd at the entry gate may increase and people may take a little more time in the security check.

The post DMRC Releases Special Delhi Metro Timetable for Independence Day 2025 first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

New Delhi: Passengers traveling on the Pink Line of Delhi Metro may face problems from May 6 to May 10. Actually, there has been a change in the timing of the metro train on the Pink Line. Due to construction work on the Majlis Park- Maujpur corridor, the train will run according to the new timing in the morning and evening.

The metro will start at 7:12 am.

DMRC said that metro will start at 7.12 am on Jaffrabad, Maujpur and Babarpur metro line and the last train will be available at 11.03 am. Delhi Metro said that the first metro from Shiv Vihar and Maujpur-Babarpur to Majlis Park will now be available at 7 am instead of 6 am. Similarly, metro from Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus to Maujpur-Babarpur will be available at 6.15 am and metro from IP Extension Maujpur-Babarpur will be available at 6.53 minutes. Metro from Sarai Kale Khan-Nizamuddin to Maujpur-Babarpur will be available at 6.36 am. The last train at night on these metro stations will be available at 9.30 pm. Earlier metro used to be available till 11 pm.

Metro will remain normal on the remaining part of the Pink Line

Delhi Metro said that services on the remaining section of the Pink Line, from Majlis Park to Maujpur-Babarpur, will not be affected and will operate normally during the daily maintenance period. Passengers dependent on this section of the Pink Line are encouraged to use alternate travel routes. On other metro lines like the Red Line and Yellow Line, there may be an increase in the number of passengers, especially during peak travel hours.

DMRC issued advisory

The DMRC has suggested its commuters to check live updates on the official app and website. Though the suspension is only for two hours per day, it may cause delays and congestion, especially for those who have a busy schedule. Regular commuters should plan their journey around the suspension timings and consider using auto-rickshaws, buses or other metro lines for a smooth journey.

The post Metro Timing Change: DMRC changed the timing of trains on Metro’s Pink Line, Issued this advisory first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

DMRC News: Metro services will start at 3:15 am on Sunday for the Delhi Half Marathon. Metro will be available on all lines except the Airport Express Line and the Grey Line. People have been requested to use the metro as there is limited parking facility at the venue.

For the convenience of the people participating in the Delhi Half Marathon, the service of Delhi Metro will start much before the scheduled time on Sunday, so that people do not face any problem in reaching Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Sansad Marg. Since parking arrangements around the venue are very limited and there will be a lot of crowd, people have been appealed to reach the starting point of the marathon by metro instead of private vehicles.

The first metro will run at 3.15 am

According to the information received from DMRC, except for the Airport Metro Line and the Grey Line of the Metro between Dhansa Bus Stand and Dwarka, the Metro will start running from the terminal stations of all other lines from 3:15 am on Sunday. During this time, trains will be available at a frequency of 15 minutes from 3:15 am to 4:00 am and at a frequency of 20 minutes from 4 am to 6 am. From 6 am, trains will start running on all lines as per the regular Sunday timing. Since most of the people participating in the marathon have to reach the stadium by 4-4:30 pm, keeping this in mind, a frequency of 15 minutes has been kept till 4 pm, so that people do not have to wait long for the train.

Volunteers will also be deployed at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Jor Bagh, Janpath, Jangpura and Rajiv Chowk metro stations to assist the organizers and participants. The organizers themselves will bear the cost of metro travel for the people participating in the marathon. For this, DMRC has provided tickets with QR code with a fixed fare amount to the organizers.

The metro ride from home to the venue will be free for all the runners. For this, they will have to show the wrist band given by the organizers at the entry gate of the metro station. All the runners have been advised to collect their QR code wrist band and bib from the organizers in advance.
