Milk Price Hike: The government has increased the price of Nandini milk and curd by Rs 4 per liter. Let’s know which milk is cheaper among Mother Dairy, Amul and Nandini milk available in the country’s capital Delhi?

The government has once again shocked the common people. In fact, after increasing bus and metro fares, the state government has now increased the prices of milk and curd. The government has approved a hike of Rs 4 per litre in milk prices from April 1. Karnataka’s Animal Husbandry and Sericulture Minister K. Venkatesh took this decision on March 27 in response to the continuous demands of farmers, various organizations and the Animal Husbandry Department.

From April 1, the price of one litre of Nandini Milk Toned Milk in Karnataka will now be Rs 46, which was earlier Rs 42. Apart from this, the price of curd has also increased by Rs 4, after which it will now be available at Rs 54 per litre. The state’s milk federations have welcomed this move of the government.

These will be the new prices of Nandini products

– Toned milk: Increased from Rs 42 to Rs 46 per liter.

– Homogenized toned milk: Increased from Rs 43 to Rs 47 per liter

– Cow’s milk (green packet): Increased from Rs 46 to Rs 50 per liter.

– Shubham milk: Increased from Rs 48 to Rs 52 per liter.

– Curd: Increased from Rs 50 to Rs 54 per liter.

Earlier, on March 5, the Karnataka government had said that it was going to increase the price of the popular Nandini milk supplied by KMF in the state. On February 10, the Karnataka State Raita Sangh and the Green Brigade protested at the KMF office in Bengaluru, demanding that the minimum milk procurement price be increased to Rs 50 per litre.

Earlier in June 2024, the price of Nandini milk was increased by Rs 2 per liter. Minister K.N. Ranjana said that steps will be taken to ensure that the price revision amount reaches directly to the milk producers of the state.

Mother Dairy Milk Price Hike: Mother Dairy currently sells 35 lakh liters of fresh milk per day in Delhi-NCR. The company last changed the prices of its liquid milk in February 2023. The price hike for all types of Mother Dairy milk has come into effect from June 3 in Delhi-NCR as well as other markets.

After Amul , now Mother Dairy has also given a shock to the pockets of the customers. Mother Dairy has announced a hike of Rs 2 per liter in milk prices in Delhi-NCR. The reason for this is said to be the increase in cost in the last 15 months. The increase in the price of all types of milk has come into effect from Monday, June 3 in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) as well as other markets. On June 2, the Amul brand had announced a hike of Rs 2 per liter in milk prices.

Both major milk suppliers have increased milk prices just after the completion of the voting process for the Lok Sabha elections . The election results are to be announced on June 4. Mother Dairy has said in a statement that the increase in consumer price has been done mainly to compensate the producers for the increased production cost, which has been increasing for more than a year.

What will be the price of Mother Dairy milk in Delhi-NCR now?

In Delhi-NCR, Mother Dairy’s full cream milk will now be available at Rs 68 per litre, while toned and double toned milk will be available at Rs 56 and Rs 50 per litre respectively. Buffalo and cow milk prices will be Rs 72 and Rs 58 per litre respectively. Token milk (bulk vended milk) will be sold at Rs 54 per litre.

How much milk does Mother Dairy sell every day?

Mother Dairy currently sells 35 lakh liters of fresh milk per day in Delhi-NCR. The company last changed the prices of its liquid milk in February 2023. The company said, “Despite paying higher prices for the purchase of milk in the last few months, consumer prices have been kept unchanged. Apart from this, the heat has been extreme across the country and this is likely to further affect milk production. According to Mother Dairy, it spends an average of 75-80 percent of the income from milk sales on procurement. This helps in ensuring the continuity of ‘dairy farming’ and availability of quality milk.

Amul milk new prices

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets dairy products under the ‘Amul’ brand, has announced a hike in milk prices by about Rs 2 per liter across the country. The increased prices came into effect from June 3. GCMMF said that it has not increased milk prices since February 2023 and this increase in prices is being done due to increase in the total cost of production and operation of milk. After the latest increase, the price of 500 ml buffalo milk of Amul has become Rs 36, 500 ml Amul Gold milk has become Rs 33 and 500 ml Amul Shakti milk has become Rs 30.

The post Milk Price Hike: Mother Dairy announces hike in milk prices by Rs 2 per litre first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

From June 12, farmers will get Rs 9.25 per liter more on buffalo milk. Like Gujarat’s AMUL, Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited (KMF) is the most prominent company for dairy co-operatives in Karnataka.

It is number one in terms of purchase and sale of milk in South India. Like AMUL (KMF) collects milk from farmers and sells it. KMF’s products are sold in Karnataka under the name of milk and other dairy products Nandini. According to the news, KMF’s current director (marketing) M Raghunandan said that there is no shortage of milk in the state and KMF buys around 73 lakh liters of milk daily.

Increase in milk prices: The price hike has been done only on buffalo milk. At present, KMF is giving Rs 36.80 per liter to the farmers. At the same time, after the increase in the prices, farmers will get Rs 46 per liter.

Milk price hike from 2021- According to the data provided by food commodity price database Mintech, milk prices in India increased from Rs 46 to Rs 53 per liter from November 2021 to early May.

This is a big economic crisis for Indians who are known as the world’s largest milk consumers.

In India, milk is bought daily in every household. Per capita consumption of milk is about 440 grams per person per day. Every Indian starts his day with milk.

“People drink milk from a bottle in the morning, or use it in tea and coffee, a lot of Indian sweets are mostly made from milk,” he said. He also added that other local favorites made from milk include paneer, ghee and curd – all of which are part of the daily diet of Indians.
Why the prices increased – High prices of animal feed and increase in demand for milk in this season is becoming the reason for increase in the prices of milk.

According to Matthew Biggin, commodity analyst at BMI, the research unit of Fitch Solutions, farmers are not able to provide enough fodder to their cattle due to the rise in fodder prices.

According to the National Dairy Development Board of India, cattle feed is usually made of corn, wheat, rice, and many other grains. The prices of many of these grains saw a big jump in the middle of last year and their prices have continued to rise. Some of the increase in prices was due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which disrupted the supply chain and pushed up prices.

The post Milk price hike: Rs 9.25 per liter increase in milk prices, know where and why first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Milk Price Hike: The general public has once again suffered a major setback. After the rising inflation of petrol and diesel, now the price of milk is also increasing continuously. Actually, the price of Amul milk has increased again. The price of Amul milk has been increased by Rs 2 per liter. Let us tell you that the new prices will be applicable from August 17. That is, from tomorrow you will have to pay more money for Amul Milk.

Know what are the new rates?

According to the information given by the Amul company, the new rates will be applicable in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Delhi, NCR, Mumbai and West Bengal. The company has told that the new price of 500 grams of Amul Gold will now be Rs 31, while the new price of 500 grams of Amul Taza will be Rs 25. Apart from this, the new price of Amul Shakit Milk will be Rs 28 for 500 grams. The company says that this decision has been taken due to increase in operating cost and production cost of milk.

information given by the company

Let us tell you that earlier on March 1, 2022, Amul had increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter. Even at that time, the company had cited rising inflation of petrol and diesel as the reason behind increasing the price.

The company has given a statement on this that in view of the increase in the total cost of operation and production of milk, the company has taken this decision. The company said that compared to last year alone, the cost of animal feed has increased by about 20 percent. Amul said in a statement, “Keeping in view the increase in cost, our member unions have also increased the prices of farmers by 8-9 per cent as compared to the previous year.”

The post Amul milk Price Increased: Prices of Amul milk increased, these are the new rates of Delhi-NCR, quick check first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
