Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train: Work is going on at a fast pace to start bullet train on Mumbai-Ahmedabad route. The government is trying to start the country’s first bullet train by 2026.

Apart from this, Indian Railways unveiled its plan to expand the bullet train network in many important intercity corridors. After the introduction of bullet trains on these routes, more travel will be possible in less time.

Asked to prepare DPR

According to the Railway Ministry, after the completion of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, there is a plan to expand the high-speed train network on more corridors. The Railway Ministry said that it has asked the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to prepare the DPR of other routes for the bullet train corridor. These corridors include Delhi-Varanasi (Delhi-Varanasi), Delhi-Ahmedabad (Delhi-Ahmedabad), Delhi-Amritsar (Delhi-Amritsar) and Mumbai-Nagpur (Mumbai-Nagpur). In this way, there are preparations to run bullet trains on a total of five routes in the country including Mumbai-Ahmedabad.

Work is going on rapidly on Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR

Work is going on rapidly on Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR). This corridor will connect Mumbai to Ahmedabad, the largest city of Gujarat. MAHSR will be India’s first high-speed rail line, with a maximum speed of 320 km per hour. Japan’s Shinkansen technology will be used in the high-speed rail line being developed by the High Speed Rail Line Corporation (NHSRC). It is a fully owned company of the Ministry of Railways and the Government of India. It includes rolling stock, signaling and design standards.

After the completion of the project, the bullet train will start a new era of fast and efficient travel in the country. MAHSR will connect major cities and towns of Maharashtra and Gujarat like Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad. Which will cover a distance of about 508 km on this route. According to the latest report, 336 km of pier foundation has been completed. Apart from this, 331 km pier construction, 60 km girder casting and 225 km girder launching have been done. Work has also started on the 21 km long undersea tunnel.
