]]> Paytm new UPI ID: Paytm has got a big relief before Diwali. After about 9 months, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has given permission to Paytm to add new bank accounts.

After getting approval from NPCI, onboarding has started for new UPI users. Now users can easily add their bank accounts and create a new UPI ID for faster payments.

A Paytm spokesperson said, “We are the leader in mobile payments in India and are committed to investing in payments. We see a huge opportunity for consumers with UPI and are working to bring great innovations to users.”

Partnership has been done with these banks

This onboarding process is being done in collaboration with leading banks like SBI, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and Yes Bank.

How to create UPI ID on Paytm

  • Enter mobile number: Open the Paytm app and enter your mobile number. Confirm it with OTP.
  • Add your bank account: Add your bank account to activate Paytm UPI.
  • Select Primary Bank Account: Select your primary UPI account from the linked accounts.
  • You’re set: Your UPI ID will be created in formats like @pthdfc, @ptaxis, @ptsbi, or @ptyes, allowing you to send and receive money instantly.
