New Flights: Due to fog and mist and low temperature in winters, flights are often delayed or cancelled. This year’s winter season has begun and the temperature is constantly falling. People traveling by plane often face problems because flights either fly late or get cancelled. In such a situation, Air India Express has announced to increase some flights for its passengers.

Where are new flights increasing from

Airline company Air India Express has announced to increase flights from three destinations of Northeast Guwahati, Agartala and Imphal under its winter schedule. This is part of the program of the airline providing budget flights to expand winter services across the country. The airline informed in a statement that it has been decided to increase flights from North-East.

Which cities will the airline connect with the new services

It provides direct connectivity to eight domestic destinations namely Agartala, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur and Kolkata. The airline also provides one-stop connectivity to 18 domestic destinations and six international destinations from Guwahati. Since adding Agartala as a station in September 2024, the airline has increased its weekly flights from 14 to 21. It connects two destinations i.e. Guwahati and Kolkata directly. Apart from this, the airline also provides one-stop connectivity to 11 domestic destinations from Agartala.

Number of weekly flights increased from 63 to 106

Air India Express has increased its flight operations from Guwahati to 106 weekly flights from 63 last winter. The statement said that in Imphal, the airline has increased its weekly flights to 34 this season, which is 20 more than last winter.

The airline’s management expressed happiness

Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer of the airline, said that this expansion not only facilitates easy travel for those wishing to explore the Northeast, but also strengthens Guwahati’s role as an important link with the rest of the country. He also said, “Our fleet now has more than 90 aircraft and is growing rapidly. We are well positioned to support the emerging needs of emerging Indian cities.”

Abu Dhabi: Indians living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are going to get the facility of cheap flights to go to their country. India’s leading airline IndiGo has announced to start flights from three more cities from next month.

The airline will start direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Indian cities Mangaluru, Coimbatore and Tiruchirapalli from August. With the start of flight operations on three new routes, Indians living in the UAE will get the benefit of cheap flights. 37 lakh Indian citizens live in the UAE, which is the largest expatriate community in the country. Due to the large population of the Indian community, the UAE-India air corridor is one of the busiest corridors between the two countries.

When will the flights start?

According to the Khaleej Times report, the flight from Abu Dhabi to Mangaluru will operate daily from August 9, 2024. The flight between Tiruchirappalli and Abu Dhabi will start from August 11 and will run four times a week. At the same time, the flight from Coimbatore to Abu Dhabi will start from August 10, which will run three times a week.
