New Financial Rules 1st September: Every month, there are some important changes related to finance. There will be important financial changes in the month of September as well, which will affect the pockets of the common man.

From September 1, there will be many big changes related to your money and daily life. These changes will have a direct impact on your pocket. Whether you are going to buy silver, use an SBI card or buy an LPG cylinder. We tell you what these new rules are and how they will affect you.

First, let’s talk about silver. The government is introducing new rules on silver, which will bring more transparency in its purchase and sale. Preparations are also underway for hallmarking of silver jewellery. This means that strict rules may be imposed on the price and quality of silver. If you are investing in silver or planning to buy jewellery, you need to keep these rules in mind. These changes will make the silver market more reliable, but they may also affect prices.

The rules are changing for SBI card users from September 1. Now, more charges may be levied on bill payments, fuel purchases or online shopping through credit cards. A 2% penalty will be levied on auto-debit failures and additional charges may also be charged on international transactions. Also, the value of reward points may also decrease. If you are using an SBI card, keep a record of your spending in advance, so that you can avoid unnecessary penalties.

The price of LPG cylinder changes on the first day of every month. This time too, the prices may be lower or higher on September 1. These changes are decided by the oil companies and the global market. If the price increases, your kitchen budget may get a little spoiled. So, plan your expenses in advance. If the price decreases, then this will be a comforting news for you.

Apart from this, ATM withdrawal rules in some banks may also change. New charges may be levied on ATM transactions, especially if you withdraw more than the prescribed limit. Therefore, avoid excessive use of ATMs and encourage digital payments.

Also, interest rates on fixed deposits (FDs) can also vary among some banks. Currently, most banks are offering interest rates of 6.5% to 7.5%, but there is speculation that these rates may come down. If you are thinking of investing money in FDs, then take a decision early.

Overall, these changes will impact your pocket and daily life. Whether it’s investing in silver, using a credit card or buying a gas cylinder, understand these new rules and prepare in advance.

Manage your budget, monitor your spending, and talk to a financial advisor if necessary. Take steps carefully so that these changes don’t become a problem for you.

The post New Rules: 5 rules to change from September 1!

CBSE Board Exam: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to make several changes from the 2026 board exams to be held next year. On one hand, APAAR ID will be mandatory, while on the other hand, fees will also be increased.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to bring many changes in the 2026 board exams, which will bring a new experience for the students. Now APAAR ID will be mandatory. Apart from this, the exam fee has also been increased and a digital center with AI is also being built. So that studies become easier.

What is going to change from CBSE Board Exam 2026 ?

CBSE has taken some big decisions for the 2026 board exams. First of all, now every student will have to link their APAAR ID with the school record which has become very necessary. Apart from this, the exam and registration fees have been increased. And the most interesting thing is that CBSE is building an AI powered digital experience center in Delhi where students will get the opportunity to study with new technology. All these things will be implemented from 2026.

CBSE Exam APAAR ID mandatory: What is APAAR ID, and why is it necessary?

APAAR ID is a special digital account that will be unique for every student and will remain forever. In this, all your educational information, marks, certificates and records will be safe in one place. CBSE Chairman says that this will keep the data accurate and the problem of duplicate records will end. Now schools will have to create APAAR ID for all students from class 9 to 12, so that everything can be set before the exam. So if you are in class 9 or above, check your ID quickly.

CBSE Exam Fees Hike: How much increase in exam fees?

CBSE has increased fees by about 6.66% from the 2025-26 session. The board says that there was no increase in fees since 2020 while the expenditure on conducting exams, staff and other things has increased manifold. Earlier, there was also some income from migration certificate, but now it is not mandatory from 2024-25, so the only source of income for the board is fees. Now according to the new fee structure, the fee for one subject for class 10 and 12 for India will now be Rs 320, Rs 1600 for five subjects and the practical fee for class 12 will be Rs 160.

The registration fee for class 9 and 11 will be Rs 320. For Nepal, the cost of one subject will be Rs 1100, the cost of five subjects will be Rs 5500, the cost of practical will be Rs 175 and the registration fee will be Rs 550/660. For other countries, the cost of one subject will be Rs 2200, the cost of five subjects will be Rs 11,000, the cost of practical will be Rs 375 and the registration fee will be Rs 550/660.

CBSE’s biggest gift is the AI-based Digital Experience Centre which will be built in an integrated office complex in Sector 23, Dwarka, Delhi. This centre will give students an opportunity to study in a high-tech way. There will be state-of-the-art educational material, virtual classes and a technology-rich environment that will enhance your creativity and ability to learn new things. Imagine how much fun it will be to study in a gaming style or with AI-generated study material. This centre is being built especially for students, so that they do not lag behind in the age of technology.

New Financial Rules: Several important rules are going to change from August 1, 2025, which can affect your pocket and daily life. These include credit cards, UPI, LPG, CNG, bank holidays and aviation fuel prices.

It is important to know these changes in advance so that you can plan your budget and avoid any financial problems next month.

Changes related to credit cards…

There are significant changes related to credit cards. If you use an SBI card, then from August 11, the free air accident insurance on some co-branded cards will end. Till now, SBI, in collaboration with UCO Bank, Central Bank, PSB, Karur Vysya Bank and Allahabad Bank, used to provide insurance cover ranging from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore on some special cards. Now this facility is being discontinued, which may come as a shock to the cardholders.

Gas cylinder prices may change…

There may be a change in the price of LPG and commercial cylinders. Like every month, oil companies fix the prices of cylinders on August 1. In July, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was reduced by Rs 60, but the price of LPG remained the same. Now it is expected that LPG may become cheaper on August 1, which will be a relief for the household budget.

Changes in rules related to UPI payments…

The new rules will be applicable for those who make payments through UPI. If you use Paytm, PhonePe or Google Pay, the National Payments Corporation of India has imposed some limits. Now you will be able to check your balance only 50 times in a day and check bank accounts linked to your mobile number 25 times.

Autopay transactions, such as Netflix or mutual fund installments, will now be processed three times a day: before 10 a.m., between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and after 9:30 p.m. The status of failed transactions can only be checked three times a day, with a 90-second gap between each check.

There has been no change in the prices of CNG and PNG

since April 2025, when CNG was Rs 79.50 per kg and PNG was Rs 49 per unit in Mumbai. Now the prices are expected to change on August 1.

There will be so many bank holidays next month….

The list of bank holidays in August has been released. The Reserve Bank of India decides holidays every month based on festivals and important dates, which may vary at different places. There will be 16 bank holidays in the month of August.

Aviation fuel (ATF) prices may also change on August 1. This may affect the prices of air tickets. These changes may increase your monthly expenses, so plan ahead.

The post New Rules: New rules will be implemented from August 1, these 6 changes will be made including UPI, LPG, your pocket will be loose! first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

The new UPI chargeback system being introduced by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will also provide relief to such customers whose refund claims were rejected earlier.

In the new rules, banks have been given the freedom to re-examine the old rejected cases. NPCI had found in December 2023 that some people were repeatedly doing chargebacks and misusing the system. Therefore, its limit was fixed.

If a customer did a chargeback more than 10 times in a month or more than five times with a single person, then his next refund claim was rejected, but now it is also believed that some genuine claims are also getting stopped due to these rules. Keeping this in mind, this new system has been introduced.

Banks will re-examine old cases

The new chargeback system will work in conjunction with the existing claim process and will give banks the added advantage of being able to re-examine previously rejected cases. The biggest benefit of this change will be to consumers as they will not have to file complaints again and again. Banks will automatically identify which cases are refundable and will be able to restart the refund process based on that.

Eliminate the need for permission

Under the new rules, banks will no longer need to seek separate approval from NPCI to refund money. Under this new system, if a transaction fails or due to technical fault, money is deducted from the customer’s account but does not reach the beneficiary, then the bank will be able to send that transaction directly to NPCI again and start the refund process.

Who will benefit?

1. Customers will get their money back quickly, chances of fraud will be reduced.

2. Banks’ time will be saved, they will not have to wait for NPCI’s approval.

3. Trust and transparency will increase in the government’s digital payment system.

What to do in case of a wrong transaction?

1. Contact bank: Inform your bank or UPI service provider (e.g. Google Pay, PhonePe) immediately. Provide details like transaction ID, amount, date and incorrect UPI ID.

2. Contact the recipient: If the recipient’s phone number or UPI ID is available, request them to refund the amount.

3. Complain to NPCI: If no solution is found, lodge a complaint on NPCI website.

According to officials, social media scrutiny will now also play an important role in the visa process. The State Department has made it clear that officials will scrutinize social media accounts, posts and messages that may be against the US government, citizens, cultural institutions or the country’s core principles.

According to the ministry’s statement, “Through this social media screening, we will ensure that every person entering the United States is thoroughly vetted and does not pose a threat to the country’s security or core policies in any way.”

With this new step, the path seems to be opening once again for students dreaming of studying in the US, but they will now have to take full responsibility for the cleanliness and appropriate use of their social media records. This new rule is likely to be a challenge for many candidates, especially those whose accounts have shared controversial or security-related content.

Train Ticket New Rules: Earlier people used to book tickets 4 months in advance for weddings or summer vacations. Now this will not work. Railways has reduced the booking window to 90 days.

This means that now tickets will be available only 3 months in advance. Yes, there is no such limit on special trains. Earlier people used to cancel tickets, then wait for 5-7 days for the refund SMS.

Train Ticket New Rules: Now booking a ticket from IRCTC is not a simple task. From 1 May 2025, a new rule has come into force – before booking a ticket, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number, it will have to be verified. Whether you are an old user or a new one, everyone will have to do this. Now there will be no excuse that ‘brother had booked it’. The ticket will now be booked in the name of the person who will do the verification.

Booking tickets 120 days in advance? Forget it now

Earlier people used to book tickets 4 months in advance for weddings or summer vacations. Now this will not work. Railways has reduced the booking window to 90 days. This means that now tickets will be available only 3 months in advance. Yes, there is no such limit on special trains. Earlier, people used to cancel tickets and then wait for 5-7 days for the refund SMS. Not anymore. Now on cancelling the ticket, the money will be refunded within 2 days. The only condition is that the ticket should be linked to your bank account. Whether the ticket is booked online or from the station.

Ticket validity – e-ticket will be valid on mobile

If you have an e-ticket, show it on your mobile easily, no need to print it. But remember – the ticket is valid only for the date and train mentioned on it. If you miss the train, the ticket is useless.

Ticket cancellation charges – Money will be deducted according to the class

Now listen to the most important thing – how much money will be deducted on cancelling the ticket?

AC First Class/Executive – ₹240

AC 2 Tier/First Class – ₹200

AC 3 Tier/Chair Car/AC 3 Economy – ₹180

Sleeper Class – ₹120

Second Class – ₹60

If you cancel the ticket 48 to 12 hours before the ticket, then 25% of the total fare will be deducted, but not less than the minimum amount mentioned above.

Now even the attempt of those with waiting tickets to enter the train is futile. New rule will be implemented from May 1 – those with waiting tickets will not be able to board AC and sleeper coaches. If caught, a heavy fine and deboarding is certain.

There will be no refund on cancellation of Tatkal ticket

The game of Tatkal tickets has also changed. Now if you cancel a confirmed Tatkal ticket, you will not get even a single rupee back. Yes, if the ticket was in waiting list or you had to cancel it due to compulsion, then you can get some money back as per the old rules.

The post Train Ticket New Rules: IRCTC changed the rules for train tickets, now no travel without OTP first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Residents of Greater Noida West are troubled by the menace of stray and pet dogs. The residents had appealed to the Apartment Owners Association (AOA) to provide relief from this. In view of this, the AOA of 11th Avenue, Gaur City-2 has implemented new rules for animal lovers. Under this, if a pet dog bites a resident, the cost of its treatment will have to be borne by the dog owner. If the dog owner repeatedly shows negligence, he will also be fined.

AOA President Sachin Tyagi said that several steps have been taken keeping in mind the safety of the residents. Under the new rules, now in case of dog bite, the dog owner will have to bear the cost. Sometimes there have been fights between animal lovers and residents. In view of this, a ban has been imposed on taking pet dogs to the basement park of the society in the presence of children and elderly people, so that the safety of the people can be maintained. Along with this, a demand has also been made to register pet dogs as soon as possible.

The residents allege that some people in the society are still not following the rules of AOA, due to which the residents are facing problems. If the rules are repeatedly violated by any dog owner of the society, a fine will be imposed by mutual consent. Sachin Tyagi said that at present, the fine for non-compliance of the rules in the society has not been decided yet.

Regarding this rule, animal lovers say that pet dogs should not be included in this rule. This is a wrong decision of AOA. Animal lovers are taking more care of their pet dogs than before. He says that if a stray dog bites someone, who will treat it, can AOA take responsibility for it.

New Rules : Stealing GST data and committing fraud in GST will not be easy now. From April 1, the Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) rule is going to be implemented for all users registered in GST.

With the implementation of MFA, it will not be easy to steal the data of any other user using GST and to commit any kind of fraud in GST.

Update number on GST portal

Mandatory for all users from April 1

MFA was implemented on an experimental basis for those with a turnover of more than Rs 20 crore from January 1 this year. Then, it was made mandatory for those with a turnover of Rs 5 crore from February 1. Now, it is being made mandatory for all users from April 1.

New update for traders

The rules of e-way bill are also being changed from April 1. From April 1, it will be mandatory for businessmen with a turnover of more than 10 crores to provide information about their e-invoices on the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP) within 30 days. If the information is not provided within 30 days, the invoice will be rejected. Currently, this rule is applicable for businessmen with a turnover of 100 crores and above.

Eating in hotel restaurants can be expensive

Eating in hotel restaurants may get a little expensive from April 1. From April 1, hotels with room rent less than Rs 7500 will be able to avail input tax credit (ITC) along with 18% GST.

The country’s general budget is going to be presented on February 1. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present this budget in Parliament. Along with the budget, many important changes are also going to happen which will have a direct impact on the pocket and expenses of the common man.

There will be changes especially in the rules related to LPG, banking, UPI, car prices and air travel. Let us know which new rules will be implemented from February 1 and how they will affect you.

1. Change in LPG gas cylinder prices

LPG gas cylinder prices are revised on the first of every month. Oil companies release new prices that apply to both domestic and commercial cylinders.

➤ In January, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder was reduced.
➤ Now it remains to be seen whether the price of domestic cylinder will decrease or increase on February 1.
➤ If the price increases, the burden on your pocket will increase and if it decreases, you will get relief.

2. New rules related to UPI transactions

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has decided to implement new rules related to UPI transactions.

➤ From February 1, 2025, transaction IDs containing special characters will not be accepted.
➤ Now only alpha-numeric (letters and numbers) transaction IDs will be valid.
➤ The transaction will fail if the wrong ID is entered.
➤ This change has been made to make UPI payments secure and systematic.

3. Maruti Suzuki cars will become expensive

The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has announced an increase in the prices of some of its models.

: Car prices will increase by up to Rs 32,500 from February 1, 2025.
: Models whose prices will increase include:

➤ Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio, Wagon R, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga, Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6, Francox, Invicto, Jimny and Grand Vitara.
➤ If you are thinking of buying a new car, then you may have to spend more money.

4. There will be changes in banking rules

Kotak Mahindra Bank has announced changes to some of its services and charges which will be effective from February 1, 2025.

➤ The free limit of ATM transactions can be reduced.
➤ The charges for banking services may increase.
➤ Bank customers will have to avail services as per the new fee structure.
➤ If you are a Kotak Bank customer, you may have to pay additional charges.

5. Air travel may become expensive – change in ATF prices

Air Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices are revised on the first of every month.

➤ Air travel can become expensive if the price of ATF or aviation fuel increases.
➤ If oil companies increase prices, then the price of flight tickets can also increase.
➤ This will affect the passengers traveling by air in the country and abroad.

Impact of new changes on common man

➤ LPG prices increased – So gas cylinder will be expensive which may increase kitchen expenses.
➤ New rule in UPI transaction – Those making digital payments will have to ensure that their transaction ID is correct.
➤ Maruti cars expensive – If you are planning to buy a new car, then you will have to spend more money.
➤ Hike in banking charges – Kotak Mahindra Bank customers may have to pay more charges.
➤ ATF price increased – So flight tickets will be expensive which may increase the travel budget.

At the same time, these changes which will come into effect from February 1, 2025 will have a direct impact on the pocket of the common man. Some things may become expensive while the rules of some services may change. In such a situation, if you are associated with gas cylinder, car, banking services or air travel, then you must be aware of these changes. Now it remains to be seen whether the general public will get relief in the budget or inflation will increase!

The prices of LPG gas cylinders have increased. Many rules are changing from banking to advance train ticket booking, rules related to credit cards, petrol-diesel to electricity bill payment.

In such a situation, it is very important for people to know about these rules. A small mistake can cost you heavily. All these changes are going to have a direct impact on you. Let us know which rules are changing.

LPG gas cylinder became expensive

Like every month, this month too the price of LPG gas cylinder has changed. Oil marketing companies have increased the price of commercial gas cylinder by up to Rs 62. This affects small businessmen. However, there has been no increase in the price of domestic gas cylinder.

2 – Two big changes in the UPI Lite platform

Two major changes are going to happen in the UPI Lite platform from November 1, 2024. With this, UPI Lite users will be able to make more payments. RBI has also increased its transaction limit. Under the second change, your UPI Lite balance will go below a certain limit. With the new auto top-up feature, money will be added to UPI Lite again. This will eliminate the need for manual top-up. With this, payments can be made without stopping with the help of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) Lite.

3 – New rules for money transfer

RBI had said that the new rules for domestic money transfer will come into effect from November 1, 2024. So that the misuse of banking channels for fraud can be prevented. RBI had said in its circular that the availability of banking outlets has increased significantly. There has been an ease in fulfilling KYC requirements. Now users have many digital options for money transfer. Recently various services convenient in the existing framework were reviewed.

4 – Changes in credit card rules

SBI Card, a subsidiary of the country’s largest public sector bank State Bank of India, has made a big change from November 1. These are the rules related to utility bill payments and finance charges through credit cards. From November 1, a finance charge of Rs 3.75 will have to be paid every month on unsecured SBI credit cards. Apart from this, an extra charge of 1% has been imposed on payments of more than Rs 50,000 for electricity, water, LPG gas and other utility services.

5 – Changes in train tickets

The rules for booking train tickets have changed from November 1. Now train tickets can be booked only 60 days in advance, not 120 days as before. Indian Railways has made these changes in the rules for advance ticket booking to make the ticket booking process easier for passengers.

ICICI Bank has announced several changes to its credit card terms, which will be effective from November 15, 2024. This is the second time this year that the bank has changed its credit card offerings. These changes will affect airport lounge access, reward caps and transaction fees as well as add-on charges for supplementary cardholders.

Rewards rules

ICICI Bank has imposed caps on rewards across some of its categories. For utility and insurance payments, the bank has set a maximum spend limit of Rs 40,000 per month for entry and medium level cards and Rs 80,000 per month for premium cards.

Grocery spends will also be capped, with entry and medium level cardholders capped at Rs 20,000 per month, while premium cardholders can spend up to Rs 40,000 per month before hitting the rewards cap.

Apart from this, fuel spends will now be capped at Rs 50,000 per month for most cards. However, the Emerald Mastercard Metal credit card, which allows fuel transactions of up to Rs 1 lakh while qualifying for surcharge waivers, has been excluded.

ICICI Bank will also charge a 1% transaction fee on certain types of expenses. This fee will be applicable on education payments made through third party platforms, utility payments of more than Rs 50,000 per month and fuel payments of more than Rs 10,000 per month.

These will not be considered

Rent payments, government transactions and education spending will no longer be considered while calculating eligibility for milestone benefits or annual fee waiver. This means that if cardholders want to qualify for these perks, they will have to make adjustments in their spending strategies.

New fee structure

The bank has also changed its fee structure. Now a fee of Rs 199 will be charged on the supplementary card. Apart from this, late payment charges have also been changed and now a fee of Rs 100 will be charged on a balance of up to Rs 500 and up to Rs 1,300 on a balance of more than Rs 50,000. Meanwhile, finance charges on outstanding credit card balance will remain at 3.75% per month or 45% annually.

Changes in airport lounge access

ICICI Bank has made changes to its complimentary airport lounge access feature. To avail this benefit, cardholders will now have to spend at least Rs 75,000 in the previous quarter.

Spa services previously available through Dreamfolks membership will no longer be available. However, the good news is that Emerald, Emerald Visa and Emerald Private cardholders will benefit from a reduction in the spending requirement for annual fee waiver, which has been reduced from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Emerald cards also offer higher fuel surcharge waiver limits of Rs 1 lakh, which sets them apart from other cards in the ICICI portfolio.

This will reduce the number of spam calls and improve the security of users. This move will help protect consumers from fraud.

4. New rules for credit cards

Changes have also been made in the rules of credit cards from September. HDFC Bank has set a limit on the reward points available on utility bills. IDFC First Bank has also changed the rules for credit card payments. This will affect the customers using credit cards. Therefore, it is important that you plan your expenses keeping these new rules in mind and use the card wisely.

Market regulator SEBI has proposed that a facility like Application Supported by Blocked Amount (ASBA) should be made mandatory for qualified stock brokers (QSBs) to provide it to their clients in the secondary market.

In a discussion paper released recently, the capital market regulator proposed to provide UPI block mechanism phase-wise in the cash segment for individual and Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) clients of QSBs. The UPI block mechanism is a system in which investors can trade in the secondary markets by blocking funds in their bank account instead of transferring them in advance to their brokerage firm.

The money will be debited from the bank account only when the shares are credited to the investor’s demat account. This mechanism is already available in the secondary markets on an optional basis. It is similar to the ASBA mechanism, which applicants use while bidding for shares in an IPO. This has helped in significantly reducing the overall timeline of the IPO process. It will help in reducing

many types of risks

SEBI believes that this system will help protect investors’ funds from any possible misuse. “Thus, the process of blocking funds and trading in the secondary market through the UPI facility mitigates the risk of misuse of the clients’ assets or loss of their assets due to default by the brokers,” SEBI said. Another advantage from the investor’s point of view will be that the blocked funds will continue to earn interest in the individual’s savings account. The policy of brokers will be reduced.

The SEBI paper said, “The analysis shows that clients hold an average daily cash balance of about ₹ 65,276 crore with their TMs in the cash segment. Assuming an average interest rate of 4% on this cash, the total annual interest for collaterals held in the cash segment would be approximately ₹2,611 crore.” SEBI said that this move will reduce the float income of brokerage firms from such balances and they may have to adjust brokerage rates to compensate for such loss of implicit income.

SEBI said that the overall result of this will be a more transparent and efficient ecosystem mechanism of transaction costs for investors in competitive scenarios. According to SEBI, this system will help in reducing the incidence of misuse of client cash collateral held by members and not given to the clearing corporation.

Along with this, it will also help in reducing the risk associated with the wrongful withdrawal of client cash collateral by members from the clearing corporation and the risk of non-settlement of payments to clients by trading members. Beta version of trading through block mechanism in secondary markets January 1, 2024 was launched for individuals and HUFs, which is applicable only to the cash segment. SEBI believes that “this system may become a popular way for retail investors (individuals and HUFs) to trade in the securities markets, provided the TMs are willing to adopt this system.”

People planning to build multi-storey houses in Haryana need to be aware of the new rules. Recently, to streamline the construction approval process, Haryana District and Town Planning has issued a new standard operating procedure (SOP) for stilt plus four-storey buildings.

According to officials, under the SOP, property owners have been made mandatory to apply for occupancy certificate (OC) within 60 days under the Haryana Building Code Regulations. Apart from this, a new portal will be launched soon to simplify the approval process of four-storey buildings.

Stilt plus four-storey construction has been permitted under the new terms and conditions issued on July 2. Map approval will be granted for buildings located on roads 10 metres or wider, with the objective of standardising construction work and ensuring compliance with building codes.

For those who have already built their houses…

Whereas, residents who have already constructed four-storey buildings without an approved plan will have to apply for OC within 60 days. The SOP issued by the Additional Chief Secretary of DTCP includes important points like application requirements, neighbour’s consent, basement construction rules, and document verification.

What real estate experts say

Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder and Chairman, Signature Global (India) Ltd, welcomed the move and said that we welcome the immediate implementation of the rules of the Stilt-Plus-Four policy by the Haryana Government. This policy will bring new opportunities for builders and home buyers in Gurugram. By allowing four independent units per plot, this policy will ensure better use of space while complying with Haryana building rules, which will increase property prices, improve the infrastructure of the city, and increase the standard of living of the people.

On the other hand, Ansal Housing Director Kushagra Ansal said that the Haryana government’s decision to allow stilt-plus-four-floor construction will not only fulfill people’s dreams but will also act as a catalyst for affordable housing plots. After a 16-month ban, this approval is a positive step towards meeting housing demand and promoting economic development.

Capital Market Regulator SEBI has announced the date of major changes in the Mutual Funds industry. To promote transparency in mutual funds, new insider trading rules will come into effect from November 1.

Under these new rules, the functioning of asset management companies will be improved and special attention will be paid to employees who hold sensitive information. Apart from this, these employees will also have to sign the necessary agreement.

A confidentiality agreement will need to be signed

According to market experts, under the new rules, mutual fund companies will have to maintain transparency regarding employees who have access to price sensitive information. Such employees will be considered as designated persons. They will be identified as designated persons. Under the new rules, a list of employees and other individuals who have access to sensitive information will have to be maintained. All of them will have to sign a confidentiality agreement. This will help SEBI in preventing insider trading.

There was a delay in implementing the rules due to opposition from the industry

SEBI issued a notification on July 26 saying that the new insider trading rules will come into effect from November 1, 2024. Under the new rules, asset management companies will have to review their internal controls from time to time. SEBI had issued a consultation paper on buying and selling in mutual fund companies regarding insider trading in July 2022. But, according to market experts, the implementation of the new rules has been delayed due to opposition from the industry.

AMC, trustees and their relatives will have to disclose their holdings

According to the SEBI notification, under the new insider trading rules, those holding price sensitive information will no longer be allowed to trade mutual fund units. This information can affect the net asset value of the scheme as well as the interests of the unit holders. Insider trading rules will not allow people to make unethical profits.

Under the new rule, the AMC will have to disclose the details of its holdings in the mutual fund scheme by the AMC, trustees and their relatives on the stock exchange. Also, information about the transaction made by the nominee will also have to be given within two days.

After the implementation of GST process, a large number of fake companies were registered without any business with the intention of fraud. On physical investigation, hundreds of registrations were found to be fake.

According to sources, many issues pending during the last three-four meetings will be discussed in this meeting. Rationalization of GST rates can also be considered.

Biometric verification of Aadhaar can be made mandatory for new registration on the GST portal. A decision on this rule can be taken in the GST Council meeting to be held in New Delhi on June 22. If registration is done through biometric verification of Aadhaar, it will not be easy to commit fraud in the name of GST.

The next meeting will be very important

After the implementation of GST process, a large number of fake companies were registered without any business with the intention of fraud. Hundreds of registrations were found to be fake on physical inspection. Although even today one has to provide his Aadhaar number for GST registration, but biometric verification is not done now. The last meeting of the GST Council was held in October last year, so the meeting to be held on the coming Saturday is being considered very important.

According to sources, many pending issues of the last three-four meetings will be discussed in this meeting. Rationalization of GST rates can also be considered. Now the GST collection has crossed 1.5 lakh crores per month and this system has also become five years old. GST rates can also be increased on many items to rationalize the inverted duty.

GST may be reduced on health insurance

Last year, in view of the elections in many states and the Lok Sabha elections thereafter, the GST rates of many items were not changed in the council meeting despite the desire to do so. According to sources, the 18 percent GST on health insurance can be reduced to 5 percent.

This has been an old demand of health insurance companies and this will also make the purchase of health insurance cheaper. The council’s opinion can be taken on including petroleum products in the ambit of GST because the Petroleum Ministry has already recommended bringing aviation fuel and gas under the ambit of GST many years ago.

However, any decision on this is very difficult at the moment, because no state is ready for this. Actually, petroleum is a big medium for the governments to collect revenue. Online gaming companies have also requested the council to reduce the GST rate of 28 percent on online gaming. Companies say that their costs have increased after the imposition of GST at the rate of 28 percent in October last year.

According to the directions issued by the Supreme Court last month, self-declaration will be mandatory for all new print, digital, television and radio advertisements.

The government has asked all advertisers and advertising agencies to submit a Self-Declaration Certificate, which will make it clear that no misleading claims have been made in the advertisement. Apart from this, it has to be told that this advertisement follows the regulatory guidelines. According to the instructions issued by the Supreme Court last month, it will be necessary to give self-declaration for all new print, digital, television and radio advertisements.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said in a statement that the Supreme Court’s directive is a step towards ensuring transparency, consumer protection and responsible advertising behavior. Experts say that this is a very good step. This will save consumers from fraud and enable them to buy the right products.

The new rule will come into effect from June 18

The self-declaration certificate must be uploaded on the ‘Broadcast Services’ portal in case of TV and radio advertisements and on the Press Council of India website for print, digital and internet advertisements. This self-declaration certificate must also be signed by the advertiser or an authorized representative of the advertising agency.

Not needed right now

However, advertisements currently being aired or published do not require self-certification. The document must certify that the advertisement does not make misleading claims and complies with all relevant regulatory guidelines. This includes Rule 7 of the Cable Television Networks Rules, 1994 and the Press Council of India’s norms of journalistic conduct.

The advertiser must provide proof of uploading the self-declaration certificate to the concerned broadcaster, printer, publisher or electronic media platform for their records. As per the Supreme Court directive, no advertisement will be allowed to run on television, print media or the internet without a valid self-declaration certificate.

Many changes take place in the country from the first date of every month. . Many changes have happened since the first date of May. This will directly affect the pocket of the common man.

These changes include many things from GST rules to ATM transactions etc. Now the companies will have to upload the electronic invoice on the IRP within seven days of the issue of the electronic invoice. PNB’s ATM transaction failure will also be charged from today. Brokers will not be able to take bank guarantees from clients’ money. At the same time, Tata and Audi increased the prices of their vehicles. Let us tell you about the changes from today.

Charges will be levied if ATM transaction fails

Punjab National Bank (PNB) customers are going to get a big shock. If a PNB customer does not have money in his account and does a transaction from an ATM and it fails, the bank will charge for this transaction. Rs 10 and GST will be charged separately on such transactions. Information in this regard has been given by sending messages to the customers on behalf of the bank. Apart from this, a notice has also been issued on the bank’s website. This rule is coming into force from 1 May 2023.

Tata Motors again increased the prices of cars

In terms of sales, the country’s number-3 car company Tata Motors has announced that it is going to increase the prices of all its cars and their models. The company is increasing the prices of all its models by up to 0.6 percent. Tata has increased the prices for the second time this year. Audi is also going to increase the prices of its vehicles. Luxury SUVs Q3 and Q3 Sportback will see a price hike of up to Rs 1 lakh. The Audi Q8 Celebration, Audi RS5 and the Audi S5 will see a price hike of up to Rs 4 lakh.

Brokers will not be able to take new bank guarantees from customers’ money

Brokers used to keep investors’ funds with the bank for guarantee as per their requirement and in such a situation there was a possibility of misuse of common investors’ money. But from May 1, brokers will not be able to do so. Markets regulator SEBI, in a recent circular, has mandated that stock brokers and clearing members can no longer pledge client money with banks as a guarantee. The existing bank guarantee, which is now, will be canceled by 30 September.

Receipt will have to be uploaded in 7 days

Companies whose total turnover is Rs 100 crore or more will now have to upload the electronic invoice ie receipt on the Invoice Registration Portal ie IRP within 7 days from May 1. Till now there was no such deadline. GST Network said that in order to ensure timely compliance, taxpayers falling within the prescribed turnover limit will not get the facility to report uploading of invoices older than seven days. Those who do not do this will not be able to take advantage of Input Tax Credit ie ITC.

The post ATM Card Holders!

Indian Railways: Now whenever you travel in the train that you do not make any mistake. Even a small mistake can land you in big trouble. Actually, Indian Railways has made a big change in the rules keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. This is generally known to all the passengers traveling in the train. The recent change made by the Railways is about the passengers traveling at night.

According to the new rules of the railway, now no passenger in your seat, compartment or coach can talk on the mobile in a loud voice or listen to songs in a loud voice. Railways has issued new guidelines so that the sleep of the passengers is not disturbed and they can sleep peacefully during the journey

According to media reports, many passengers often complain that people traveling together in their coach talk loudly on the phone, or listen to songs till late at night. There was also a complaint from some passengers that the railway escort or maintenance staff also talks loudly. Apart from this, many passengers keep lights on even after 10 pm, which disturbs their sleep. In view of this, the Railways has made a new rule. In such a situation, if any passenger does not follow the rules, then action will be taken against him.

Know what are the new rules

The Railway Board has decided that if you are talking fast on mobile after 10 pm during the journey in the train, then strict action will be taken. According to the new rules, passengers can neither talk loudly nor listen to music during night travel. If any passenger complains, then it will be the responsibility of the staff present in the train to resolve it.

New Traffic Challan 2023: From April 1, 2023, many new traffic related rules have come into force. You should know about these changed traffic rules. These now also include the new rule related to the tires of your vehicle.

According to some media reports, the expressway agency and RTO are now checking the vehicles plying on the expressway. If a defect is found in the tire of the vehicle during this inspection, then a heavy fine of up to Rs 20,000 can be imposed on your vehicle. However, the amount of the fine has not been decided yet. The strictness related to the tire is being done so that the tire of the vehicle running at high speed on the expressway does not burst anywhere. This also increases the chances of accident.

Many different rules have been made regarding the speed of the vehicle on the inter-expressway and highway of the country. In this, the high speed of the vehicle running on the expressway is up to 120 kilometers per hour. It is very important to have the right tires of a vehicle running at such a speed. Because if the tire bursts then it will be very difficult to handle the vehicle at this speed. Let us tell you that due to over speed on Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway many accidents have happened. This expressway is 701 kilometers long.

Speed limit rules in the country

There are different rules regarding the speed of vehicles running on National Highway and Expressway in India. Where the maximum speed limit of 100 km/h has been fixed for the car on the National Highway, then this limit is 120 km/h on the expressway. The speed limit is also different for two-wheelers and heavy vehicles. The speed limit on highways and expressways is 80km/h for two-wheelers and 100km/h for heavy vehicles, such as buses and trucks. The speed limit is reduced during the winter season.

Monitoring is done by CCTV cameras

Such CCTV cameras have been installed on almost all the expressways of the country which keep an eye on the speed of the vehicle. If you keep the speed of the vehicle more than 120km/h, then its time at the next toll plaza is known. After which the vehicle can be challaned there. Although this challan is fixed, but according to the speed, more can be done. Like crossing the speed limit on Yamuna Expressway, a challan of Rs 500 is levied. However, sometimes the invoice can be more. Driving license can be canceled in the condition of not filling the challan.

New Rules on Bank Locker: Just imagine, you have kept your valuables safe in the bank locker and someday on opening the locker you come to know that those things have been stolen or lost. From whom will you make up for that loss?

RBI New Rules on Bank Locker: People prefer to keep their valuables in bank lockers to avoid theft, robbery, fire and other untoward incidents. For this they also pay annual rent. Just imagine, on opening a locker, it is found that all the money kept in it has been spoiled or stolen and what will happen if the bank also refuses to take responsibility for it.

The ground will slip from under the feet of the victim. It is possible that someone may also get a heart attack. But now this will not happen. Banks will not be able to abdicate their responsibility for the loss caused in the locker.

Supreme Court had ordered

The Supreme Court had ordered RBI to take steps on the security of bank locker (RBI New Rules on Bank Locker), after which the Reserve Bank of India issued new rules on locker security. Those rules have come into force from January 1 this year. Under the new rules, the bank management will now be responsible for the loss of any valuables of the customer kept in the bank locker and he will have to pay the consumer up to 100 times the rent of the locker.

Now banks will have to pay compensation

According to the new rules, if there is damage to the goods kept in the locker (RBI New Rules on Bank Locker) due to fire, theft-robbery or any other reason in the bank and it is proved that the bank was negligent in this incident, then it The customer will have to pay compensation. He will not be able to run away from his responsibility under any circumstances and will be able to refuse to compensate the consumer.

New locker agreement from 1 January 2023

Following the instructions of RBI, banks have also released the format of new locker (RBI New Rules on Bank Locker) agreement from this year. All consumers and banks availing locker facility will have to sign this agreement. RBI has instructed the banks that this agreement should be made consumer friendly and no unfair conditions should be added to it. The compliance of the orders of the Supreme Court should also be ensured in the agreement.

Earlier banks used to behave like this

Let us tell that earlier most of the banks used to shirk their responsibility in case of any kind of damage to the goods kept in the locker (RBI New Rules on Bank Locker). They also refused to give him any kind of compensation. Due to this, the consumer who has lost his capital remains standing like a cheat. While hearing a petition, the Supreme Court had issued an order in this regard last year. The implementation of which has now started.

Credit Card: If you use a credit card, then you have to deposit many types of bills including electricity bill every month. In such a situation, if you have forgotten to pay your credit card payment on the due date, then you may have to pay a heavy fine.

But as per the new rules, you can save yourself from paying penalty charges even if you don’t make the payment on the due date. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has provided the option of payment to the customers without any charge after the due date is out.

RBI has told banks and credit card issuers that they can take penalty only after three days of due date. It means to say that if you have missed the credit card payment due date, then you can make the payment within 3 days of the due date.

Three days chance

According to the master direction for credit cards and debit cards issued on 21 April 2022, the RBI has said that the credit information companies (CICs) that issue the cards will show the credit card account as past due. Penalty charges, late fee or other charges on delay will be applicable only then. When the credit card account remains outstanding for more than three days. That is, if you make the credit card payment within three days after the due date, then you can avoid the penalty.

Credit score will not be affected

In such a situation, if you have missed the credit card payment due date, then you can make the payment within three days of the due date. In this, you can also avoid the penalty imposed on late payment. If you pay within three days, your credit score will not be affected.

Have to pay late fees

Banks and credit card companies usually levy pre-determined late payment charges based on the outstanding balance. This results in late fees increasing in proportion to the size of the outstanding balance. The higher the amount of the bill. The more late fees are charged.

If you are a central employee and get salary under 7th Pay Commission, then this news is of great use to you.

The Personnel Department has issued a clarification regarding the action of fine and punishment on the central employees. In this, it has been told how two or more punishments will run on an employee simultaneously and which will be applicable first.

Between the good news of bonus and DA, there is another big news for the central employees. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), which comes under the Ministry of Personnel, has issued a clarification regarding the action of two or more fines simultaneously. This rule will be applicable to the employees coming under the 7th Pay Commission.

The DoPT has said in the Office Memorandum issued on October 28 that during the first action of the penalty, the second action can also be invoked. The department has said that the sentencing authorities should clearly write in their order that an employee is being punished with two fines simultaneously and both the sentences will run concurrently. In this, it has to be told whether both the sentences will run concurrently or after one is over, the other will be applicable. Apart from this, will the punishment given earlier, or will the second punishment be effective on him?

How the two punishments will be implemented

The Personnel Department has said that if the authority does not clearly mention it in its order, then both the punishments will be implemented simultaneously and will run concurrently. Not only this, if the order given later is going to be with a big fine, then it will be implemented immediately over the earlier order and after the expiry of its term, if the period of the earlier order is left, then it will also be completed. DoPT has made changes in many rules for the employees getting salary under the 7th Pay Commission.

…then you will not get pension and gratuity.

Earlier, the government has also changed the CCS (Pension) Rules 2021. Under this, if a central employee is found guilty of serious offense or negligence during his service, then his pension or gratuity or both can be withheld. The authority empowered to take this action will have the right to stop the pension and gratuity of the retired employee.

In the rules of traveling allowance, changes have also been made in the rules related to traveling allowance of relief

central employees. It said that employees are being exempted under the CCS (Leave Travel Concession) Rules 1988 for air travel to the North-Eastern region, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh or Andaman and Nicobar. Under this, central employees will be able to take advantage of this facility till September 25, 2024.

Know the rules before surrendering the ration card

Significantly, during the Corona period, the government had started the system of free ration for the poor at the time of epidemic. But now it has come in the record that many such people are also taking benefit of ration, who are not eligible for this scheme. Such news was coming that the government would take strict action on them, although the government has not issued any statement on this at the moment.

Income Tax Return Last Date: According to the data released by the Income Tax Department, 3.4 crore people have filed income tax returns till 26 July. The last date for filing ITR on behalf of the department has been fixed as 31 July 2022. The process of ITR filing, which started from June 15, 2022, will continue for two more days (up to July 31). However, under a rule of income tax, you will not have to pay penalty even if you file ITR after July 31. Let us know what is this rule?

Website related to e-filing slowed down!

People trying to file ITR before July 31, it is being said that the website related to e-filing has become slow. On the other hand, the Income Tax Department is making income tax payers aware. It was told by the department that to avoid any kind of penalty, file ITR on time. But in some cases ITR can be filed even after the last date without penalty.

Income tax experts say that under section 234F of income tax, the total income of a person during the financial year does not exceed the basic exemption limit, then there is a reason to file ITR late. that does not matter. In simple language, if your total income till the financial year 2021-22
is Rs 2.5 lakh or less, then you will not have to pay any penalty for filing income tax after July 31. The ITR to be filed on your behalf will be called Zero (0) ITR

Exemption on age and annual income Similarly, if one selects the old tax regime, then for those below 60 years of age, this exemption is Rs 2.5 lakh. At the same time, income up to Rs 3 lakh for those who are 60 years or more and less than 80 years is tax free. Similarly, the basic exemption limit for those above 80 years of age is 5 lakhs.

The post IT Department Issued New Rules: No penalty for filing ITR after July 31!

EPFO New Guideline: Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has issued new guidelines on tax deduction for private sector employees who contribute more than 2.50 lakh to retirement savings accounts every year. . The EPFO said in a circular that the tax limit for EPF contribution for government employees would be Rs 5 lakh per annum.

This taxation scheme came into effect from 1st April this year. Employees in India are required to have an EPF account. As per the circular, TDS will be deducted on payment of interest in the EPF account. TDS will be deducted at a later date on final settlement pending for final settlement or transfer.

For those who have not integrated their PAN into their EPF accounts, contributions above Rs 2.5 lakh will be taxed at 20% from their annual income. Those who have linked their EPF accounts with their PAN will be taxed at the rate of 10%.

Other information about the new guidelines

As per the circular, the EPFO will maintain a non-taxable account and a taxable account for all such members who contribute more than 2.5 lakhs.

If the TDS calculated is less than 5,000, no TDS will be deducted from the interest deposited in such EPF accounts.

For ex-pat and non-resident employees having EPF accounts active in India, tax will be levied at the rate of 30% as per the requirements of the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between India and the country concerned.

TDS will also be applicable to all EPFO members, especially members of exempted establishments or exempted trusts.

In case of death of EPFO member, TDS rate will remain unchanged.

The interest earned on the funds in EPF accounts is credited on an annual basis. However, the accounts are maintained on a monthly basis. Consequently, if no transfer or final settlement is made in the entire financial year, TDS will be deducted on payment of interest. EPFO now has 24.77 crore accounts of its members.

New rules are applicable on TDS for the residents of the same. TDS 4% Cess is applicable for Non Resident Indian. Apart from this, interest surcharge has been fixed at 10 percent for Indian non-resident above 50 to 1 crore, while there is a 15 percent surcharge on interest above one crore to 2 crore, while if its number is more than 10 crore, then the right on interest. 37% has been fixed. However, there will be no head charge on interest above ₹ 50 lakh.

Two UAN Merge

Many such cases have come to the fore in recent times. Where employees have been assigned multiple UANs. As per the rules, a person should have only one UAN in his entire lifetime. An employee’s EPF account is linked to his UAN. If two UANs have been given to an EPFO member, the old UAN should be deactivated.

Reasons for allotment of two UANs

When an employee changes his job, a new EPF account is opened by the new company. All EPF accounts are linked to UAN. Hence, there is a high probability that when the member employee changes his organization, he is allotted a new UAN. There can be many reasons for allotting a new UAN to a member. The most common reasons are listed below:

Employee did not disclose his previous UAN – When an employee changes his job, he has to disclose his previous UAN and EPF account number (Member ID). If he does not provide these details, the new employer opens his new UAN and EPF account

Non-submission of “Date of Exit” by the previous employer – Your previous employer has to mention the date of exit in the ECR (Electronic Invoice and Return). If this information is not given in time, the new establishment allots a new UAN to the employee.

What happens when you have 2 UANs?

It is against the rules to have two active UANs at the same time. A member should have only one UAN in which all his EPF accounts are linked. EPF accounts are non-transferrable in case of different employees. However, an employee having two UANs can transfer his EPF account from one to another and deactivate his previous UAN. Therefore, one EPF account linked to one UAN has to be mandatorily transferred to another EPF account linked to another UAN.

2 What should an employee do in case of allotment of UAN?

If you have been allotted two UANs, you can deactivate one of them (usually, the previous one). According to the EPFO website, there are two ways to deactivate UAN and transfer your EPF account. There are two methods below:

Process 1

As soon as you come to know about it, report the issue to your employer or EPFO. You can send an email to uanepf@epfindia.gov.in mentioning your current and previous UAN.

EPFO will verify the issue

Your previous UAN will be blocked and your current UAN will be kept active

Post this you need to submit claim to transfer EPF account to new active account

This process takes a while and the resolution rate recorded is very low.

Thus, EPFO has come up with a new process wherein it will be easy for a member to merge his two UANs and transfer his EPF easily.

The EPFO member has to make a request to transfer the EPF amount from the old UAN to the new UAN.

Once the request for transfer of EPF is made, the EPFO system automatically identifies the duplicate UAN. This identification process takes place in intervals.

After proper identification, the old UAN from which the EPF transfer has been processed,

Will be deactivated by EPFO and the previous member ID of the employee will be linked to the new UAN.

The status of inactivity is informed to the employee through an SMS.

If the employee has not activated his new UAN, he will be requested to activate it to get the updated status of the account.

There may be instances where the employee receives PF dues from the previous employer. In such cases, arrears are received in the new PF account linked to the new UAN as you have two EPF accounts with different UANs. The system of EPFO will recognize the same automatically. This identification happens from time to time. So, as soon as you come to know about it. You should apply to transfer the old EPF to the new one. The system auto-populates the new UAN number in the ECR.
