Citizenship – This scholarship is for Indian students. The student must have Indian citizenship. Must be residing in India at the time of application.

Admission – Must have an unconditional offer of admission to an eligible course from a New Zealand university.

Eight universities offer scholarships

NZEA scholarships are offered by eight New Zealand universities: Auckland University of Technology, Lincoln University, Massey University, Auckland University, The University of Waikato, University of Canterbury, University of Otago and Victoria University of Wellington.

In addition, New Zealand has extended the two-year visa period to three years for jobs that fall under the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification Occupations skill level 4 or 5. Existing workers in these jobs with two-year visas who meet the requirements can ask for a one-year extension.
