UIDAI urges citizens to upload proof of identity and proof of address to re-verify their information on Aadhaar. Updating is especially necessary for those customers whose Aadhaar was issued more than ten years ago and has never been updated.

Deadline for updating documents free

According to the Aadhaar authority, the free service of updating documents online will continue till 14 September 2023. UIDAI has made the online update service free from March 15.

Rs 50 fee is applicable for offline update

It is important for the users who want to update Aadhaar to note that the free document updating facility will be available only on the myAadhaar portal. Whereas, the fee of Rs 50 will be applicable at physical Aadhaar centers as before.

How to change date of birth and name in Aadhaar

1. Login to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ using Aadhaar number and enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent to the registered mobile number.
2. Click on ‘Update Document’ and the details of the Aadhaar user will appear.
3. Now verify the details, if correct, click on the next hyper-link.
4. Select Proof of Identity and Proof of Address document from the dropdown list.
5. Upload copies of the same to update his/her documents.
6. The list of updated and acceptable documents is available on the official website of UIDAI.

• Now select the Change or Correction option in existing PAN data from the Application Type option.
• Select the Personal option from the Category menu.
• Now enter applicant information and click on submit
• Thereafter note down the token number displayed on the screen and continue with the PAN application.

• After this tick on photo mismatch and signature mismatch and enter the details of father or mother.
• After that click on Next for PAN Card Signature Change or Photo Update.
• Enter your personal details like address, contact details etc. in the address and contact section.
• Enter the copy of Aadhaar and PAN for ID proof, address proof and date of birth proof.
• Tick ​​the declaration in the section and click on submit to submit your details.
• Upload the scanned copy of the document proof for verification.
• Now review the entire form and click on submit to submit the details or you can click on edit to update the details.
• Now you have to pay a fee of Rs 110 (including GST).
• After that save the application and keep its printout.
• Now send the printout to NSDL at the address ‘Income Tax PAN Services Unit (Managed by NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited)’ 5th Floor Mantri Sterling, Plot No. 341, Survey No. 997/8, Model Colony, Near Deep Bungalow Chowk Pune- Send to the address of 411 016.
• Do not forget to attach the required documents with the form.
• You will get a 15 digit acknowledgment number which can be used to track the application status.
