										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3><strong>Mumbai Rains: People of the country&#8217;s financial capital Mumbai have been facing heavy rains for the last few days. On Tuesday (July 23), the sky remained cloudy throughout the day in Mumbai and it rained heavily.</strong></h3>
<p>According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) , heavy rain is expected on Wednesday (July 24) as well. According to the IMD, the weather in Mumbai is expected to remain cloudy. During this time the temperature will be between 24 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, many parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai received heavy rains, which have been continuing for the last few weeks.</p>
<h3><strong>Orange alert issued</strong></h3>
<p>The IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall. The Brihan mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also reiterated this warning and advised people to avoid unnecessary travel. The warning also applies to Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts of the Konkan region of Maharashtra, a statement said.</p>
<p>The Meteorological Department&#8217;s Colaba station recorded over 94 mm of rain between Monday and Tuesday morning. Rains are expected to continue in Mumbai and its neighbouring districts. The IMD has issued a yellow alert in Mumbai from Wednesday (July 24) to Friday (July 26).</p>
<p>According to the Regional Meteorological Center of Mumbai, moderate to heavy rain is expected in the city and suburbs on Wednesday. An orange alert has been issued for Thane, which is expected to receive heavy to very heavy rains. In view of the alert, the Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has advised residents to step out only when necessary.</p>

<h3><strong>Mumbai Police issued advisory</strong></h3>
<p>Mumbai Police has issued an advisory urging people to stay away from coastal areas due to bad weather conditions. The advisory advises to leave the house only if it is very necessary. It is recommended to take precautionary measures. In case of emergency, people have been instructed to call emergency number 100.</p>
<h3><strong>55 incidents registered in 24 hours</strong></h3>
<p>Data provided by the weather department showed that Colaba received heavy rainfall of around 100 mm, while the Santacruz recording station recorded 42 mm of rain during the same period. In the wake of the heavy rains, civic data showed that 55 incidents of partial house collapse, tree fall and short circuit were recorded in the city in the 24 hours till Tuesday morning, according to the Indian Express. Of these, the city witnessed 10 incidents of partial wall collapse, while 34 incidents of tree fall were recorded.</p>
<p>The recent rains have caused a lot of disruption in Mumbai. Many roads in the financial capital have been inundated, leading to traffic jams across the city. The situation is expected to worsen as further rain is forecast. The IMD predicts that these rainy conditions will continue for the next few days. Also, additional heavy to very heavy rains are expected in various areas including the Indo-Gangetic plains.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3><strong>Heavy Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR and North as well as Northeast India in the coming days.</strong></h3>
<p>The Meteorological Department has issued an &#8216;Orange Alert&#8217; for heavy rains in parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh on July 11. Apart from this, according to the Regional Meteorological Center, Delhi-NCR will remain generally cloudy on Thursday and light rain is expected. The maximum temperature on Thursday is also predicted to be 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 26 degrees Celsius.</p>
<p>Many villages in Lakhimpur Kheri have been affected by the overflowing of the Sharda river due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that 12 districts of the state are currently affected by floods. Rescue and relief operations are going on in full swing in all the affected districts. On the instructions of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, Noida Police is patrolling the flood-affected areas. According to DCP Noida Manish Kumar Mishra, the warning has been issued due to heavy rains and rising water level in the Yamuna river during the monsoon season.</p>
<p>The IMD has issued an &#8216;Orange Alert&#8217; for heavy rains in Bihar. At the same time, a &#8216;Red Alert&#8217; has been issued for very heavy rains on Friday. Bihar is expected to receive 115.5-204.4 mm of rain on Thursday. At the same time, an &#8216;Orange Alert&#8217; has been issued for heavy rainfall forecast on Thursday in areas like Kheri, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria and Sant Kabir Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.</p>
<p>The Meteorological Department has also issued an &#8216;Orange Alert&#8217; for Konkan and Goa. Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted at isolated places.</p>
<p>According to IMD scientist Surendra Paul, rainfall activity is expected to increase from July 20. Heavy rainfall is forecast on July 11-12. A &#8216;Yellow Alert&#8217; has been issued in some parts of the Himalayan state. Floods are likely in some states during this period.</p>
<h4><strong>Rain forecast across the country</strong></h4>
<p>Heavy rains are expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh till July 14. Uttarakhand and western Uttar Pradesh may receive heavy rainfall till July 12. According to the IMD, heavy rains are expected in Himachal Pradesh from July 11 to 13, Jammu on July 12 and 13 and in northern Haryana and northern Punjab on July 12. Apart from this, heavy rains are likely in eastern Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on July 11.</p>
<p>Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya till July 14. Jharkhand is likely to receive heavy rains on July 11 and 12. Odisha will also receive heavy rains from July 12 to 14.</p>
<p>IMD has said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in Karnataka till July 14. Heavy rains are expected in Gujarat till July 14. Saurashtra and Kutch are likely to receive heavy rains on July 11.</p>

Fairly widespread light to moderate rains are likely over Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rains are likely at some places over Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Rayalaseema, Telangana during the next 5 days. Heavy rains may occur over Saurashtra and Kutch today.</p>

<p>Intermittent snowfall is occurring on the mountain ranges of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba and Kullu districts on Tuesday. Due to this, the chill has increased in the state. Today there was sunshine in the plains of the state including the capital Shimla, but the cold continued. Meteorological Center Shimla has issued an orange alert of heavy snowfall in the state for the next two days.</p>
<p>This year, for the first time in the winter season, Orange Alert has been issued in Himachal Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in the state from the night of January 30 to February 1. Orange alert has been issued for heavy snowfall in central mountainous and high mountainous areas on 31 January and 01 February.</p>
<p>Director of Meteorological Center, Shimla, Surendra Paul says that on January 31, there will be an orange alert of heavy snowfall in Chamba, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Kangra, Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur. There will be orange alert in Chamba, Kullu, Kangra and Lahaul-Spiti on 01 February. The weather will clear in the plains and central mountain areas on February 2. Whereas snowfall may occur in high mountain areas. The weather will remain bad in the entire state on 3rd and 4th February, but there will be no alert.</p>
<p>The Meteorological Department has asked the government and administration to remain alert, fearing widespread snowfall in the hilly areas of the state due to disruption in transportation, electricity and drinking water supply in the next two days. Apart from vehicles, heli services can also be affected due to snowfall. There is also a possibility of a drastic drop in the temperature.</p>
<p>The minimum temperature in three cities was recorded at minus on Tuesday. Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti district was the coldest place, where the minimum mercury was recorded at -4.9 degrees Celsius. Similarly, the mercury was -4.2 degrees in Samdho, -2.6 degrees in Kalpa, 0.3 in Reckong Peo, 0.4 in Narkanda, 1.1 in Manali, 1.9 in Bhuntar, 2.2 in Sundernagar, 2.3 in Kufri, 2.5 in Sarahan and Solan, 2.7 in Mandi, Barthi. 3.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Hamirpur and Palampur, 3.5 in Dalhousie and Bharmour, 4.2 in Una and Shimla, 4.7 in Bilaspur, 5.4 in Jubbarhatti and 6.4 degrees Celsius in Dharamshala.</p>
