New Delhi: Passengers traveling on the Pink Line of Delhi Metro may face problems from May 6 to May 10. Actually, there has been a change in the timing of the metro train on the Pink Line. Due to construction work on the Majlis Park- Maujpur corridor, the train will run according to the new timing in the morning and evening.

The metro will start at 7:12 am.

DMRC said that metro will start at 7.12 am on Jaffrabad, Maujpur and Babarpur metro line and the last train will be available at 11.03 am. Delhi Metro said that the first metro from Shiv Vihar and Maujpur-Babarpur to Majlis Park will now be available at 7 am instead of 6 am. Similarly, metro from Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus to Maujpur-Babarpur will be available at 6.15 am and metro from IP Extension Maujpur-Babarpur will be available at 6.53 minutes. Metro from Sarai Kale Khan-Nizamuddin to Maujpur-Babarpur will be available at 6.36 am. The last train at night on these metro stations will be available at 9.30 pm. Earlier metro used to be available till 11 pm.

Metro will remain normal on the remaining part of the Pink Line

Delhi Metro said that services on the remaining section of the Pink Line, from Majlis Park to Maujpur-Babarpur, will not be affected and will operate normally during the daily maintenance period. Passengers dependent on this section of the Pink Line are encouraged to use alternate travel routes. On other metro lines like the Red Line and Yellow Line, there may be an increase in the number of passengers, especially during peak travel hours.

DMRC issued advisory

The DMRC has suggested its commuters to check live updates on the official app and website. Though the suspension is only for two hours per day, it may cause delays and congestion, especially for those who have a busy schedule. Regular commuters should plan their journey around the suspension timings and consider using auto-rickshaws, buses or other metro lines for a smooth journey.

The post Metro Timing Change: DMRC changed the timing of trains on Metro’s Pink Line, Issued this advisory first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Indian Railway Rules: There is great news for the passengers traveling by train. If you also travel by train, then now you can travel in AC coach even on sleeper ticket. Yes… Every day lakhs of people travel in sleeper, general and AC classes in the train.

Tell me, to travel in the train in sleeper and AC class, you have to make a reservation (Train Reservation). Come, today we will tell you how you can travel in AC class by booking a ticket in sleeper class. Many rules have been made by the Railways, about which people are not aware.

Railway provides auto upgrade facility

According to the rules of the railway, the facility of auto upgradation is given to the passengers by the department. When you make your reservation, then at that time you get a chance to auto upgrade. In this, your ticket gets upgraded to the class above the class for which you book the ticket. Suppose if you have booked a ticket in sleeper class then your ticket will be upgraded to third ac class.

[web_stories title=”true” excerpt=”false” author=”true” date=”true” archive_link=”false” archive_link_label=”” circle_size=”150″ sharp_corners=”false” image_alignment=”left” number_of_columns=”1″ number_of_stories=”4″ order=”DESC” orderby=”post_title” view=”carousel” /]

You will not have to pay any separate charge,

you do not need to go anywhere to take advantage of this railway facility. You get this facility while sitting in the train. Along with this, you do not have to pay any separate charge for this auto upgrade facility, but the benefit of this facility will be available only when that coat is available in the seat.

Will have to pay the difference of rent

many times it happens that many seats in the train remain vacant in first and second AC. Due to their high rent, they remain vacant. For this reason, Railways has started this facility. For upgradation from the existing class to another class, you will have to pay the reservation fee for that class as well as the difference in the fare between the two classes.

You can contact TTE also, apart from this you can also upgrade your seat by contacting TTE. If you are traveling in sleeper class. If you wish to travel in AC class, then all you have to do is approach the TTE who is in the compartment at the time of travel. You have to tell TTE that you want to travel from sleeper class to AC class. TTE will allot you berth in AC class.

There is good news for crores of passengers traveling in the train. Indian Railways has reduced the fare of AC coaches. Now like before, passengers will get the pleasure of traveling at low fares.

Along with this, bed sheets and pillows will also be available in all AC coaches. Railways has reduced the AC 3-tier economy class fare from today, implementing the old system. Passengers will now have to pay Rs 60 to 70 less for AC 3-tier economy class as compared to AC-3 tier.

Significantly, in September 2021, Indian Railways introduced AC-3 economy coach in trains. Its purpose was to make passengers travel in AC coaches at low cost. However, a year later in November 2022, AC 3-Tier Economy and AC 3-Tier were merged and then the class fare of both became the same. However, now it is being done back separately.

Sheet-blankets will continue to be available on reduction of fare

This decision of the government also means a lot, because despite the reduction in fare, passengers will continue to get facilities like sheet-blanket-pillow. In fact, when the AC-3 economy coach was introduced, the Railways did not provide sheets and blankets to its passengers.

Later, when both the classes were merged and the fare became equal, sheets and blankets were also available in the economy coaches. Railways will maintain this facility even further and it will not be closed even after reducing the fare.

Tickets booked in advance will be refunded

Railways has clearly said that the passengers who have already booked tickets will also be given the benefit of reduced fare. This will include passengers taking tickets through both online or offline mode. For those booking online, the refund money will be sent directly to their account. However, passengers who buy tickets from the counter will have to go to the counter again with the ticket to collect their remaining money.

How many AC-3 economy coaches now

Indian Railways runs only 463 AC-3 economy coaches, while the number of normal AC-3 coaches is 11,277. The facility of AC-3 economy coach is better than normal AC-3 coach. However, the width of the seat is slightly less in this. While there are 72 berths in the normal AC-3 coach, there are 80 berths in the AC-3 economy coach.

How much Railways earned

After the introduction of AC-3 economy class, Railways earned Rs 231 crore in the first year itself. During this, 15 lakh people traveled in this class. The decision to reduce the AC-3 economy class fare has been taken following the recommendations of the Standing Committee of Parliament. The committee has also recommended giving 40 per cent concession in fare to senior citizens.

There is good news for the passengers traveling by train. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given a lot of information regarding the exemption given to senior citizens. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha that the Indian Railways may soon restore the senior citizen concession, which was discontinued due to Covid.

The Ministry of Railways said in the Rajya Sabha that the Standing Committee has advised to review and consider the concession to senior citizens at least in sleeper and 3 AC. Parliamentary panel has recommended that concession on railway tickets to senior citizens should be restored.

The Railway Minister told the Rajya Sabha on Friday that the Indian Railways subsidized Rs 59,837 crore on passenger tickets in 2019-20, which is an average concession of about 53% for each person traveling.

There may be a change in the rules, the Railway Board said that it is planning to give concessions to senior citizens, in which the idea is to reduce the cost of these concessions while maintaining the subsidy for senior citizens. As of now, no terms and conditions have been decided yet.

53 percent discount is available

According to the information received from the Ministry of Railways, all the citizens traveling in the train get an average discount of 53 percent on the fare. Along with this, Divyangjans, students and patients get many types of concessions apart from this exemption.

In which class will the discount be given?

In the Rajya Sabha, the Railway Minister was asked about the Railway Concession, whether the Railways will again give the facility of discount on train tickets. On this, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that in 2019-20, Railways has given a subsidy of Rs 59,837 crore on passenger tickets. Apart from this, the Standing Committee attached to the Parliament has suggested giving concession in train tickets to senior citizens traveling in sleeper and third AC.

In response to another question by BJP MP Sushil Modi on waiver of Rs 670 crore subsidy , the minister informed that the revenue on account of concession in passenger fares to senior citizens during 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 is around Rs 1,491 crore. , was Rs 1,636 crore and Rs 1,667. Actually, Indian Railways has made a big change in the rules keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers.

This is generally known to all the passengers traveling in the train. The recent change made by the Railways is about the passengers traveling at night.

According to the new rules of the railway, now no passenger in your seat, compartment or coach can talk on the mobile in a loud voice or listen to songs in a loud voice. Railways has issued new guidelines so that the sleep of the passengers is not disturbed and they can sleep peacefully during the journey

According to media reports, many passengers often complain that people traveling together in their coach talk loudly on the phone, or listen to songs till late at night. There was also a complaint from some passengers that the railway escort or maintenance staff also talks loudly. Apart from this, many passengers keep lights on even after 10 pm, which disturbs their sleep. In view of this, the Railways has made a new rule. In such a situation, if any passenger does not follow the rules, then action will be taken against him.

Know what are the new rules

The Railway Board has decided that if you are talking fast on mobile after 10 pm during the journey in the train, then strict action will be taken. According to the new rules, passengers can neither talk loudly nor listen to music during night travel. If any passenger complains, then it will be the responsibility of the staff present in the train to resolve it.

There are certain rules for carrying luggage with you while traveling in flight. This information is usually known to all the passengers traveling by flight.

But, do you know that even when traveling by train, there is a fixed weight for carrying luggage. India’s railway network is the second largest network in the world. Every day a large number of passengers travel in it. In such a situation, the passengers should also know the rules of carrying luggage.

While traveling in the train, a passenger can carry a maximum of 50 kg of luggage with him. Passengers have to pay fare if there is more luggage than this. For this, a separate ticket has to be taken. If you travel in AC coach then the rule is different for this. In AC coaches, luggage up to 70 kg can be easily carried without paying any fee. Whereas, in a sleeper coach, a person can carry only 40 kgs of luggage with him.

There are also rules regarding the size of luggage

There are separate rules for large size luggage while traveling in the train. If the passengers carry oversized luggage with them, then they have to pay a fee of at least Rs 30. At the same time, passengers have to pay one and a half times more charge if there is more luggage than the prescribed limit.

There are rules for medical goods as well.

If a patient is also traveling along with a passenger, then there are separate rules for the goods needed by the patient. According to this rule, on the advice of a doctor, passengers can take oxygen cylinders and stands with them.

Such items are not allowed

Passengers cannot carry explosive or inflammable material with them while traveling in the train. At the same time, even after paying the fee, passengers can take only 100 kg of luggage with them.
