]]> PNB Alert Online: An alert was issued for the customers of Punjab National Bank i.e. PNB, one of the largest public sector banks of the country. In this, the bank has appealed to the customers to update KYC. It has also been told that if a customer does not update the KY even after the due date for updating it, then the transactions in his account may get affected.

The bank has told that if the KYC update of your bank account is due from September 30, 2023, then you can easily update the KYC by visiting any branch of the bank till December 18, 2023. Apart from this, KYC is being updated in the bank account through PNB One App, IBS, email and post.

KYC mandatory

The bank posted on its official social media handle that as per RBI guidelines, it is mandatory for all customers to update KYC. If any customer is due to update the KYC of your account from September 30, 2023, then before December 18, you can update your KYC through any branch or mobile app PNB One, IBS, post and registered e-mail etc. It was also told that if KYC is not updated then the transactions in the account may be affected.

Documents to get KYC done

According to the PNB website, you can use the government documents given below to get the KYC of an individual account done.

  • Passport
  • PAN card
  • Voter ID
  • driving license
  • NREGA job card
  • Aadhar card

Apart from this, electricity bill, telephone bill, water bill, postpaid mobile bill, water bill and gas bill can be used.

]]> PNB account holders: If you have an account in Punjab National Bank then this is important news for you. mPassbook app is being discontinued by PNB. 

This app is used to check passbook. Now instead of this app, customers will have to use PNB One App . According to the information given on the PNB website, the existing mPassbook app will be closed on December 1, 2023. This service will now be available on PNB One App. 

What is mPassbook app? 

mPassbook app is the digital avatar of the physical passbook. In this, customers can easily view their MIM statement and complete transaction history from the mobile app. No transactions can be done through this app, it is only for viewing passbook details. 

Whereas, PNB One App is a mobile app of Punjab National Bank. In this you can avail many other banking facilities including checking balance as well as transactions, viewing passbook details, applying for credit and debit cards. 

How to register in PNB ONE App?

  • You should have an active account of Punjab National Bank along with a mobile number in it.
  • Then you have to download PNB One App from Google Play Store or Apple Store.
  • Open PNB One App and click on New User.
  • After this enter the account number and select mobile banking.
  • Now OTP will come on the registered mobile number. Enter it and proceed further.
  • With Debit Card/Without Debit Card/Through Aadhaar OTP, click on any one of these three options. 
  • If you choose the option with debit card, you will have to provide card details. However, if you register without a debit card, you will have to provide account details. 
  • Now set your login and transaction password. 
  • After this your registration will be done and user ID will come through message. 
  • Now with its help you have to ‘Sign in’ and set the MPIN. Now you will be able to use PNB ONE App.
