IGL and MGL have increased the rates of CNG after the government reduced the supply of cheap natural gas from old gas fields by 20% from November 16. Earlier, on October 16, the supply was also reduced by 21%. After these cuts, gas companies like IGL, MGL and Adani Total Gas had expressed apprehensions that their profitability would be affected.
