There is great news for railway passengers. A great feature has been introduced in the RailOne app launched last month. This all-in-one app of railways will now provide OTT entertainment to users for free, so that users can enjoy services like movies, web series, documentaries, audio programs and gaming during the journey. To offer entertainment to users in the RailOne app, Indian Railways has integrated the free-to-access Waves OTT platform in it.

How to use Railvan app for free OTT content

To watch free OTT content on the RailOne app , follow the steps given here :

1- Login to the app via mPIN or biometric.

2- Go to the More Offerings option on the home screen and tap on the ‘Go To Waves’ menu.

3- After this you will be redirected to a new page. From here you will be able to access content like movies, web series and documentaries for free.

Content in 10 languages

Waves OTT was launched by Prasar Bharati in November 2024. The platform offers content in 10 languages. In this, users can use services like live TV, on-demand video, audio, gaming and e-commerce at one place. Waves OTT is working with a large network of content creators, regional broadcasters, cultural institutions to include content in many Indian languages and dialects to increase linguistic and cultural diversity.

What is Railvan App?

Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) has developed RailOne. The app also supports existing RailConnect and UTS credentials. The app saves storage on the phone as it eliminates the need to install other apps related to railway services. It allows passengers to book both reserved and unreserved tickets on mobile phones. However, users can also book tickets on the IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) app. This new mobile application has been authorised by IRCTC.

Where to download Railvan mobile app

The new official mobile app of Railways is available on both Android and iOS app stores. After downloading this app, you can register it with your IRCTC Rail Connect and UTS app and then use it by entering the ID and password of IRCTC account. The interface of RailOne app is quite new, beautiful and user friendly. Let us tell you that this app is currently available in two languages ​​​​Hindi and English.
