There is going to be some change in the entry and exit system of railway stations. Now only those people will get entry at railway stations who buy tickets to travel. People who increase the unnecessary crowd will not get entry at the railway station.

That is, like the metro station entry exit system, this system will be implemented at railway stations as well. For this, the railway is going to implement the Access Control (AC) system at its major stations.

This will prevent unauthorized people from entering the station and the crowd at the stations will also not increase. Let us tell you that this access control (AC) system will be installed at the entry and exit gates of the station. At the time of entry, passengers will have to show their confirmed tickets on the scanner machine. The gate will open for passengers only if the confirmed ticket is correct, after which you will be able to go inside the railway station. If the ticket is not confirmed, then you will not get entry into the railway station.

Token will have to be taken to go to the platform.

Under this new change, if a passenger wants to go only to the platform, then he will have to take a platform token at a fixed fee. During this time, face recognition CCTV cameras will also be installed at the gate, which will keep an eye on every activity of the passengers. Let us tell you that in the first phase, a list of major and busy railway stations of North Western Railway is being prepared. As soon as approval is received from the board, the work of implementing the Access Control (AC) system will be started at the railway stations.

Very important from the security point of view, let us tell you that the crowd at railway stations is constantly increasing. This also creates problems in the security arrangements of the passengers. Apart from this, cases of bag theft and other incidents have also increased at railway stations. The access control system will make it possible to screen such people and will also help the security agencies in monitoring. This will further strengthen the security. Officials believe that this will also help in identifying illegal tickets.

New Delhi. Taking seriously the recent stampede incidents at railway stations, Indian Railways is considering banning the entry of passengers without tickets at stations. However, this arrangement will be applicable only at 60 busy stations.

There is also an option of creating a holding area at these stations, where passengers can wait before going inside. According to ET report, a senior official said, “There is a need to regulate the entry of people at stations and only those who have valid tickets should be allowed. This option is being considered especially in relation to some busy stations.

Preparations to implement airport-like system

In fact, a similar method is adopted at airports as well, where passengers’ tickets are checked several times before boarding the plane, and people without valid tickets are not allowed entry inside. Regarding this, officials said that permanent holding areas are being designed for New Delhi, Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, Varanasi and Ayodhya stations and unauthorized access points will be closed at these stations.

The holding area will be integrated with the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana which aims to improve and modernize railway stations across the Indian Railways network. The Amrit Bharat Station Yojana currently aims to advance and modernize a total of 1275 stations.

This step of the railways can prove to be very helpful in reducing the crowd at the stations. Last week, 18 passengers died in a stampede at New Delhi Railway Station. Thousands of passengers present at the station were standing to board trains going to Prayagraj for Maha Kumbh and suddenly there was a stampede to catch the train.

Indian Railway: The Maha Kumbh Mela held in Prayagraj is in its last phase, but the crowd of people arriving here is not decreasing. Trains on every route reaching Prayagraj are crowded. Roads are jammed and the price of air tickets is skyrocketing.

There is a huge crowd at the railway stations reaching Prayagraj. The stampede at New Delhi Railway Station was also the result of this crowd. In such a situation, North Central Railway has made new arrangements to control the crowd at railway stations.

The crowd of devotees is continuously increasing to take a holy dip in the Maha Kumbh. All the major bathing festivals have ended, but there has been no decrease in the number of people coming to Prayagraj. The crowd at major railway stations including Prayagraj Junction is not decreasing. Meanwhile, North Central Railway has implemented a special plan for crowd management.

Shashikant Tripathi, Chief Public Relations Officer, North Central Railway, Prayagraj Division, said that all VIP protocols have been stopped and advance booking of rest houses has also been stopped. Railways has again implemented its most effective scheme, the color coding system. Under this, passengers are being sent to different passenger shelters based on the color of their tickets.

Railways has arranged red, blue, yellow and green colour coding for passengers going in different directions at Prayagraj Junction, Prayagraj Chheoki and Naini stations. Passengers are being taken to the correct platform according to the colour of their tickets so that the crowd can be controlled. CPRO Shashikant Tripathi said that the holy bathing festival of Maha Kumbh is going on, however, the main bathing festivals have ended and now only the bathing festival of Mahashivratri is left. Despite this, the number of devotees is continuously increasing.

To control the crowd, the railways have arranged for single side entry and exit at Prayagraj Junction, so that the crowd can be controlled. When the crowd increases, the passengers are accommodated in Khusro Bagh and when the passenger shelters are empty, they are guided from there and brought to the platform.

Passengers are sent to the platform only when the train to their destination is stationed there. During the Maha Kumbh, only North Central Railway operated 134 Mela Special trains, while Northern Railway and Northeast Railway together operated 179 Mela Special trains. A total of 388 trains were operated on 15 February. Prayagraj Sangam Railway Station, which is closest to the Mela area, has already been closed for security reasons. Due to the small circulating area of the station, there is a lot of crowd there and chaos can spread.

The administration had demanded its closure, which was accepted by the railways. Due to the closure of Sangam station, devotees are forced to go to other stations, which has increased the crowd there even more. Traffic on the roads in the city has also been completely affected, there is a jostling among the passengers to board the shuttle buses. IANS

Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: In view of the bathing festival of Maghi Purnima in the ongoing Maha Kumbh in the religious city of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, the administration has implemented special traffic arrangements.

Under this, the entire fair area has been declared a ‘no vehicle zone’ from 4 am on February 11, 2025. According to officials, private and public vehicles of devotees coming to Prayagraj will be parked in the parking of the respective route after four o’clock in the morning on February 11. So that there is no traffic chaos in the city and devotees can easily reach the bathing ghats on foot.

He said that to facilitate the movement of devotees, the administration has also declared the entire Prayagraj city as a ‘no vehicle zone’ from 5 pm on February 11. Only emergency services will be exempted from this restriction. According to officials, this special traffic plan will remain in force till the completion of the bath on February 12 to ensure the safe evacuation of devotees in the fair area. This rule will also be applicable to the vehicles of devotees doing Kalpavas in the fair.

Emergency plan implemented at railway stations

Due to the huge crowd coming to Maha Kumbh, an emergency plan has been implemented at all the railway stations of Prayagraj from February 11. Single track has been made mandatory at Prayagraj Junction, Subedarganj, Chhivki, Naini, Rambagh, Jhunsi, Prayag and Phaphamau from 8 am. According to the report of Dainik Jagran, in view of the huge crowd at these railway stations, passengers are being given entry from one side. While exit will have to be done from the other side.

Apart from this, there will be diversion on all routes. Before reaching Prayagraj Railway Station, passengers will have to reach the passenger shelter home by taking a detour. Only after this they will be sent to the platform. Information about direction wise trains in the fair area will also be given through the allowance as to which station the passengers should go to.

More than 100 special trains organized

Railway CPRO Shashikant Tripathi said that there has been a huge crowd at the stations for several days. More than 100 Mela Special trains are being operated on demand every day. He said that till 9 pm on Tuesday, 108 special trains were operated. In this, North Central Railway operated 81, Northern Railway operated 10 and Northeast Railway operated 17 special trains. Apart from this, special trains are also being run continuously.

On Tuesday, North Central Railway General Manager Upendra Chandra Joshi and DRM Himanshu Badoni reviewed the preparations. He instructed the officials that on whichever route the crowd gathers, a special train should be immediately dispatched from the platform for that route. Every moment’s update was released from the control tower. He said that the crowd should not gather near the railway station, and whatever passengers reach the shelter, arrangements should be made to take them to their destination quickly.

According to the data released by the Mela administration, more than 1.30 crore people took bath in Sangam and Ganga till 10 am on Wednesday. So far more than 47.45 crore people have taken bath here. All Kalpvasis have been requested to follow traffic rules and use only valid parking.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been monitoring the Maha Kumbh Mela area from a ‘war room’ set up at his official residence in Lucknow since 4 am on Wednesday. UP DGP Prashant Kumar, Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad and other senior officials are also present with CM Yogi.

Indian Railways News: Indian Railways is the fourth largest rail system in the world. More than 2.5 crore passengers travel by railways in the country every day. More than 13000 passenger trains are run by Indian Railways to take the passengers to their destination.

According to a list released in the year 2024, there are 8809 railway stations in India. Some of these railway stations are such. Where many trains stop daily. At the same time, only a few trains stop at railway stations.

Many of these railway stations are very old. Where passengers get less facilities. On the other hand, many have been developed in a modern way. Where people get all the modern facilities. Recently, a big decision has been taken by the railway for Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh. These two old railway stations of Kanpur will now be closed forever. Let us tell you the whole news.

Trains will not be available from these two stations of Kanpur

There are some cities where there is only one railway station. There are many cities where there are more than one, or even 10-15. Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh also has a total of 14 railway stations from where passengers get trains to travel. But now a bad news has come for the people living in Kanpur. The railways have decided to close two stations of Kanpur forever.

This decision was taken during a meeting between railway officials and Kanpur district administration. Now the people of Kanpur will not get trains from Rawatpur and Kalyanpur stations. Both these stations will now be closed forever. Due to this decision of the railways, passengers traveling from these stations may face problems.

A new railway station will be built

After the decision taken by the Railway Administration and Kanpur District Administration to close two railway stations permanently, some passengers may have to face trouble. On the other hand, this second decision will bring a wave of happiness among them. After the closure of Rawatpur and Kalyanpur railway stations by the Railways, a new railway station will be built in Kanpur. This station will be named after former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This railway station will be equipped with modern facilities.

Yes, at present many trains are running late due to fog, due to which the passengers are facing problems.

If you are also going to travel by train in the coming days, then you should know that Indian Railways provides luxurious rooms to passengers for just Rs 20 to 40. Just for this you should have PNR number.

Take advantage if the train is late

Many trains are running late due to dense fog during the winter season. In such a situation, the passenger faces a lot of problems. Thousands of passengers are troubled at the railway station. There they come to know that the train is late by 2, 4 and 8 hours. In such a situation, some do expensive hotels, but most of the people have to face the cold winds there. In such a situation, you can take advantage of the retiring room of the railway. Here you can stay for 48 hours and the most important thing is that here you have to pay very little charge. Here only Rs 20 to Rs 40 will be charged from you.

Book retiring room like this

Now the biggest problem before you is that how to book the retiring room, where to book it. For this you will need PNR number because booking of retiring room is done by PNR number only, at most major stations you will get AC and Non AC (AC/Non AC) rooms. You can book it on the website. You have to visit https://www.rr.irctctourism.com/#/home on this website . Let us tell you that this facility is given only to those passengers, whose ticket is Confirm Ticket or RAC.

Facility is also available on general ticket

Let us tell you that if you are going to travel a distance of more than 500 km, then this facility can be availed even on a general ticket. Apart from this, only one room can be registered with one PNR number. Booking here is on first come first serve basis. Keep in mind that after booking online, you will be asked for government documents like Aadhaar card or PAN card. This facility will be available at major railway stations of the country like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai.
