According to railway officials, 05305 Anand Vihar Terminal Special train running from Chhapra on 30 June and 3 July will remain canceled. 05306 Chhapra Special train running from Anand Vihar Terminal on 25, 28 June and 2 and 5 July will remain canceled. Lucknow Junction. And 15033/15034 Lucknow Jn.-Patliputra-Lucknow Jn. Express running from Patliputra on 1st and 04th July will remain cancelled.

15212 Amritsar-Darbhanga Express running from 23rd to 29th June, 2025 will be run via the changed route Roza, Lucknow, Ayodhya Cantt, Mankapur instead of the scheduled route Roza, Sitapur, Gonda, Mankapur. Due to the change in route, this train will not stop at Mangalganj, Sitapur City, Sitapur, Budhwal and Gonda stations.

15211 Amritsar Express running from Darbhanga from 30th June to 3rd July, 2025 will be run via the changed route Raxaul, Sagauli, Muzaffarpur, Chhapra Gramin instead of the scheduled route Raxaul, Narkatiaganj, Paniyhawa, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Budhwal, Sitapur, Roza.

Amritsar-Chhapra special train will remain cancelled

05049 Chhapra-Amritsar special train running from Chhapra on 27 June and 4 July will remain cancelled. Similarly, 05050 Amritsar-Chhapra special train running from Amritsar on 28 June and 5 July has been cancelled. Apart from this, express train 12522 leaving from Ernakulam for Barauni on 27 June will be run from Barabanki via Ayodhya Cantt to Mankapur instead of its scheduled route Barabanki, Gonda, Mankapur. Actually, Railways is completing the work of its third line. Pre-non interlock work will be done from 12 to 26 April and non-interlock work will be done from 27 April to 3 May. According to the new rules of Railways, from November 1, 2024, passengers will be able to book tickets in advance only up to 60 days before their date of travel. Railways has also clarified that this period of 60 days will be considered excluding the date of train travel. However, till October 31, 2024, the old rules of booking i.e. the time limit of 120 days will remain applicable.

On which trains the new rule will not be applicable

Railways has informed that this new rule will not be applicable on some special trains, such as Taj Express and Gomti Express. There has been no change in the booking rules of these trains. Apart from this, the facility of advance booking up to 365 days for foreign tourists will remain as before, that is, this rule will not have any effect on foreign travelers.

Black marketing will be banned

Railways also said that currently only 13 percent of passengers book tickets 120 days in advance, while most passengers book tickets up to 45 days before their journey. Due to such a long time limit in advance booking of tickets, problems of ticket cancellation and refund increase. The new rule is expected to effectively stop black marketing of tickets, which will benefit passengers and make the system more transparent.

This decision of the Railways has been taken keeping in mind the increasing demand for tickets during festivals and the problems of black marketing, so that passengers do not face any inconvenience in ticket booking.

According to Railways, by providing door-to-door parcel service to the customers, this service can be a game-changer in the transport of parcels. Rail Post Gati Shakti Express Cargo Service from ICOD Okhla, Delhi was flagged off by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Thursday. It has started between four sectors Delhi to Kolkata, Bengaluru to Guwahati, Surat to Muzaffarpur and Hyderabad to Hazrat Nizamuddin. However, a total of 15 sectors have been planned to be included in the first phase.
