State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna reacted to this and said that other autonomous institutions coming under this department have already been implemented with 60 years of retirement age. This will establish equality among the employees working in bodies of similar nature.

This decision has been taken after re-reviewing the previous order issued by the state government in 2013. With its implementation, the officials and academicians of the Bhasha Sansthan will get the benefit of 2 years of additional service. This will enable them to contribute more to the local languages, folk literature and research activities of the state. This order will be applicable to the employees of Uttar Pradesh Bhasha Sansthan.

Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha that additional pension is automatically paid to the pensioner / family pensioner as per the requirement by the pension disbursing authorities / banks.

According to the minister, the government has approved 20 percent additional pension on attaining the age of 80 years, 30 percent on attaining the age of 85 years, 40 percent on attaining the age of 90 years, 50 percent on attaining the age of 95 years and 100 percent on attaining the age of 100 years, as per the recommendation of the Sixth Central Pay Commission (CPC). He said that with age, especially the needs related to health increase, so provision of additional pension has been made.
