Married Daughters Rights In Property: Rules have been set for property division in India. Under these rules, the Hindu Succession Act was passed in 1965 for property division in India.

Under this law, laws related to property division, succession and inheritance among Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Sikhs have been set.

Earlier, daughters did not have rights over property. But after the amendment in the Hindu Succession Act in the year 2005, daughters also started getting equal rights as sons in property. Meanwhile, a question also comes in the minds of people that after how many years of marriage do daughters have rights over property? Let us tell you.

Daughters will have rights on property even after marriage

Before the year 2005, under the Hindu Succession Act, only unmarried daughters were considered members of the Hindu Undivided Family. After marriage, they were not considered members of the Hindu Unmarried Family. That is, after marriage, they had no rights over the property. But after the amendment in the Hindu Succession Act in the year 2005, daughters have been considered equal heirs to the property.

Now even after marriage, the daughter has the same right on the father’s property as the son, there is no change in this even after marriage. Let us tell you that there is no limit or rule for how many years after marriage the daughter will have the right on the property. That is, the daughter will always have the right on the property.

There is right only on ancestral property

In India, under the Hindu Succession Act, property is divided into two categories. One is ancestral property and the other is self-acquired property. Ancestral property is that which is passed on from generation to generation. Sons and daughters have a birthright on this property. But the property which is self-acquired by the father, that is, purchased from his own earnings, no one has a birthright on it.

If the father wants, he can transfer the entire property to his son. And if he wants, he can transfer it to his daughter. Or he can divide it equally between the two. If the father dies without dividing his property, then both the son and the daughter are legal heirs of the property.

Mobile Connection Rules: The Telecom Ministry has changed the rules for purchasing a new mobile connection from January 1, 2024. With this, it has now become easier for customers to buy a new SIM card.

To promote digitalization in the country, the Department of Telecommunications (Telecom Ministry) has informed that now there will be a complete ban on paper based KYC for getting a new SIM card. In such a situation, now customers will have to submit only digital or e-KYC to get a new SIM card.

DoT issued notification-

The Telecom Department of the Ministry of Communications has issued a notification on Tuesday informing that there are going to be major changes in the rules for purchasing SIM cards from the new year i.e. January 1, 2024. Now any customer will be required to do e-KYC to get a SIM card and now paper based KYC will be completely stopped.

Apart from this, it has also been told that the rest of the rules for getting a new mobile connection are going to remain the same and no changes have been made in it. It is worth noting that earlier to get a SIM card, you could do paper based KYC along with e-KYC, but now it will be completely stopped from January 1.

There has been a change in the rules of SIM card from December 1, 2023

Before this, the Telecom Ministry has changed another rule related to SIM card. By changing the rules, the Central Government has implemented the rule of issuing limited number of SIMs on one ID from December 1. Before getting a SIM card, it is necessary to complete the KYC process and now along with the SIM buyer, the SIM seller will also be registered. If a person buys multiple SIM cards at once, he can buy it only through a commercial connection.

Bank Locker Charges: If you also keep documents related to land, other price papers and jewelery etc. in the bank locker, then this news is of your use. Actually, the rules related to bank lockers have been changed by RBI.

This change has been made keeping in mind the safety and convenience of the customers. If you also have a locker of any bank and have kept gold-silver or other valuables in it, then definitely read this news.

The bank will have to pay compensation

According to the notification issued by the RBI, the rules have been changed by the Central (RBI) on the complaint of the customers taking locker in the bank. Often customers keep complaining of theft in bank lockers. Even after long efforts, such customers do not get any satisfactory solution for the stolen goods. But now in case of any untoward incident with the goods kept in the locker, the concerned bank will compensate the customer up to 100 times the locker rent.

There will be transparency in the locker system, many times such cases have come to the fore in which banks used to get away from the theft incident. He hurls the customer saying that he is not responsible in any way. In the order given by RBI, it was said that banks will have to put the list of empty lockers, waiting list number for the locker on the display. This will bring more transparency in the locker system. RBI says that the customer cannot be kept in the dark on behalf of the bank.

Rules for taking rent of the locker On accessing the locker, an alert will be given to you through e-mail and SMS through the bank. RBI has made this rule to protect against any kind of fraud. Banks have the right to take the locker rent for a maximum period of three years at a time. If the locker rent is Rs 2000, then the bank cannot charge you more than Rs 6000, excluding other maintenance charges.

Every person entering the locker room and bank staff is required to be monitored by CCTV cameras. Apart from this, the bank will have to keep 180 days (6 months) of CCTV footage safe. The police will be able to investigate with the help of CCTV footage in case of theft or any other mishap.

SEBI has approved several rules changes while tightening the disclosure norms for IPOs. SEBI’s board of directors in a meeting held here on Friday approved a proposal to introduce an alternative mechanism by allowing companies looking to submit preliminary documents for IPOs to confidentially submit regulatory information.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has approved changes in several rules, including tightening of disclosure requirements for initial public offerings (IPOs)

According to SEBI, it is mandatory for the issuer to disclose the offer value based on past transactions and fund raising activities.

SEBI’s board of directors in a meeting held here on Friday approved a proposal to introduce an alternative mechanism by allowing companies looking to submit preliminary documents for IPOs to confidentially submit regulatory information.

The market regulator has also decided to make major changes to bring more flexibility in the structure of Offer for Sale (OFS). This includes doing away with the minimum shareholding requirement for non-promoter shareholders.

At present, non-promoter shareholders willing to offer at least 10 per cent stake in a company and shares worth Rs 25 crore are eligible to participate in the OFS framework.

Apart from this, the capital market regulator has also decided to introduce a two-tier verification process for trading in mutual fund units to safeguard the interest of investors. SEBI said that the new draft in this regard will be implemented from April 1 next year.

At present, all Asset Management Companies (AMCs) are required to verify the withdrawal transactions by two-stage verification for online transactions and signature for offline transactions.

“It has now been decided that two-way verification will be extended to the transaction of purchase of units of mutual funds also,” SEBI said.

The market regulator has also decided to relax the pricing norms for open offers in respect of disinvestment of public sector undertakings.

In addition, SEBI will introduce a regulatory framework to facilitate providers of online bond platforms to sell listed debt securities.

Under the framework, such forums should be run by a SEBI registered broker as a Stock Broker (Loan Segment) or registered with SEBI.

The meeting also decided to extend the deadline by two months to November 30 for implementation of the standardized framework for industry classification by credit rating agencies.

This framework is for rating exercise and research activities and its deadline was to end on Friday itself.

SEBI has also approved the introduction of a new option for the appointment and removal of independent directors from the board of directors of companies. The move will provide flexibility in the approval process for the appointment or removal of independent directors.

The post SEBI issued new guideline: Big News!

PFRDA says that this move will give a boost to POPs as they put in a lot of effort and use their resources to open an NPS account. The move is aimed at providing compensation to the POPs, who are still incurring losses in terms of fees.

National Pension Scheme Regulator, Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority has now changed the rules of National Pension Scheme (NPS). Now the Point of Presence (PoP) opening NPS account will get commission.

POPs include banks, NBFCs and other entities. They register people in NPS and provide many more facilities to the subscribers. From September 1, 2022, POP will get commission from Rs 15 to Rs 10 thousand on opening the account. PFRDA says that this move will give a boost to POPs as they put in a lot of effort and use their own resources to open an NPS account.

The move is aimed at providing compensation to the POPs, who are still incurring losses in terms of fees. PFRDA has clarified that this commission will be payable to the POP when the customer opts to send money directly from his account to the concerned entity under the ‘All Citizen Model’.

You will get 0.20% commission on investment amount

As per the new rules of PFRDA, it has been decided to give commission to the POPs supporting the expansion of NPS for a fixed period from 1st September 2022. The pension regulator said that transferring money directly from the bank account to the agency concerned for contribution to the National Pension System is similar to e-NPS.

The commission on this will be given to the POP. On direct money transfer, the POP will be given a commission of 0.20 percent over a certain period. The commission will be a minimum of Rs 15 and a maximum of Rs 10,000. This commission will be taken from the customer only. This will be recovered by reducing the number of units he has invested in at fixed intervals.

National Pension Scheme is a social security initiative by the Central Government. It was started in 2004 for government employees. But in 2009 it was opened to all classes. National Pension Scheme is a voluntary and long term investment scheme for retirement.

The post Big News: Government made big changes regarding the rules of National Pension Scheme, know here new rule first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
