This decision has been taken in view of the war situation between India and Pakistan. All schools in Delhi will remain closed from May 11, 2025.

The Delhi Education Directorate has announced summer vacations. All schools in the national capital will remain closed from May 11 to June 30, 2025. If the weather remains extremely hot even after June 30, 2025, then the vacations can be extended further. If the vacations are extended for more days, orders can also be issued for online classes. This order is specifically for government schools in Delhi. Private schools in Delhi can take a different decision regarding their vacations.

In most schools, classes are held for students of classes 9 to 12 even during summer vacations. The Delhi Education Directorate has also given the same order this year. During summer vacations, remedial classes will be organized for students of classes 9, 10 and 12 in all government schools of Delhi. The circular of the Education Directorate states that summer vacations will be held in schools from May 11 to June 30. Whereas, remedial classes will be conducted from May 13 to May 31.

According to this circular, remedial classes will be held between 7.30 am and 10.30 am. This will save children from the heat. In schools running in double shifts, remedial classes will be held in different wings to accommodate all students. Students of class 9 and 10 will study science and mathematics every day. A third subject may be added to it keeping in mind the needs of the students. The school principal can take this decision.

The District Magistrate has declared Ram Navami on Sunday, April 6 as a public holiday. Along with this, Mahavir Jayanti will be celebrated on Thursday, April 10. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birthday on Monday, April 14, and Good Friday on Friday, April 18 have also been declared public holidays.

Meanwhile, government offices will remain closed in Rajasthan this month due to five consecutive holidays. If you are planning to travel in April, then you can keep these holidays in mind. Complete your work on time, so that there is no problem later. This time there will be five consecutive holidays. Mahavir Jayanti will be on April 10 (Thursday), Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jayanti on April 11 (Friday), April 12 (Saturday) and April 13 (Sunday) and April 14 (Monday) will be holidays on Ambedkar Jayanti.

In view of the cold wave, Collector Mrs. Riju Bafna has ordered to change the timings of all government and non-government schools in Shajapur district. Classes from nursery to class VIII will now be held only after 9 am. Similarly, in Mandla, the timings of schools have also been changed in view of the increasing cold. Here, morning schools will now run from 9 am to 3 pm.
