]]> Mumbai schools closed due to rains: It is raining continuously in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. Due to this, due to heavy rains in Mumbai, there has been waterlogging in many parts of the city. BMC has issued orders to close all schools and colleges in Mumbai on Thursday, 27 July. IMD has issued a red alert for Mumbai and surrounding areas in view of signs of heavy rains. There is a warning of heavy rain from eight o’clock tonight till tomorrow afternoon.

Mumbai school closed due to rains: BMC appeals to citizens

Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Iqbal Singh Chahal has declared holiday on July 27, 2023 in all municipal, government, private, primary, secondary and higher secondary schools, colleges of Mumbai City and Suburban. BMC has advised all citizens to be alert and stay indoors. Apart from this, follow all the guidelines given by the administration. Significantly, there has been heavy rain in Mumbai from 25 July 2023 to 26 July 2023 from 8.30 am to 8.30 am the next day.

According to the weather forecast released on Wednesday, strong winds can blow at a speed of 45-55 kmph in the next 24 hours. Between eight in the morning and four in the evening, 61.19 mm of rain has been recorded. Santacruz 86.1 mm, Colaba 44.6 mm, Bandra 58.0 mm, Dahisar 112.0 mm, Ram Mandir 87.5 mm, Chembur 32.5 mm, Byculla 16.0 mm, Chhatrapati Shivaji Mumbai Terminus 43.0 mm, Matunga 21.0 mm, Sion It has received 51.0 mm of rain.

Apart from Mumbai, there has been heavy rain in the national capital New Delhi as well. Because of this water has been filled in many areas. Not only this, once again the water level of Yamuna is also increasing continuously. Apart from this, due to the increase in the water level of the Hindon river, the area near Ecotech 3 in Noida has been submerged.
