School Closed: Cloudburst in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand on Tuesday has caused massive destruction. There was a sudden flood in Dharali after heavy rains, due to which many houses were destroyed. So far four people have died and many people are reported missing. An alert for heavy rain has been issued in the state today as well. In view of this, a holiday has been declared in schools.

Along with the death from the clouds in Uttarkashi, rain has also caused heavy destruction in Uttar Pradesh. The Ganga and Yamuna rivers are in spate. There is a flood situation in Prayagraj. In view of the heavy rains, orders have been given to close all schools from nursery to 12th in Murarabad. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Murarabad and its surrounding areas today.

Schools closed in many districts including Chamoli of Uttarakhand

Heavy Rain Alert: Heavy rain has affected life in many districts of Rajasthan including Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar, Kota, Pali and Sirohi. In view of the warning of heavy rain, the administration has declared a holiday for schools in 11 districts on Tuesday.

These include Jhalawar, Kota, Chittorgarh, Tonk, Bhilwara, Baran, Dungarpur, Dholpur, Salumbhar, Banswara and Ajmer.

Relief from heavy rain is expected from August 2

On Tuesday, the Meteorological Center Jaipur has issued a ‘red alert’ for very heavy rain in three districts, an ‘orange alert’ for heavy rain in five districts and a ‘yellow alert’ in 19 districts. However, relief from heavy rain is expected from August 2.

Heavy rain due to low pressure area

According to the weather centre , a low pressure area is formed over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining eastern Rajasthan . Due to its effect, heavy and very heavy rains have been recorded in some parts of the south-eastern parts in the last 24 hours. During this period, heavy rains occurred in Kota, Bhilwara, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Tonk, Sirohi, Rajsamand, Pali, Bundi, Baran, Banswara and Ajmer districts. The highest rainfall in eastern Rajasthan was 242 mm in Ramganj Mandi of Kota and 235 mm in Jetpura of Bhilwara.

Heavy rain alert

According to the Meteorological Center , there is a possibility of heavy, very heavy and sometimes very heavy rains in some parts of south-eastern and north-eastern Rajasthan on July 29. On the other hand, on July 30-31, heavy and very heavy rains are expected in some places in Bharatpur, Jaipur and Ajmer divisions and moderate to heavy rains in some places in Bikaner division.

Rivers are in spate

According to officials, the gates of the dams on Chambal, Kalisindh and Banas rivers were opened due to the overflowing of rivers. The capital Jaipur received torrential rains on Monday evening due to which many low lying places were flooded. People were troubled due to traffic jams on major roads.

Life affected due to heavy rain

According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, on Monday, 111.5 mm of rain was recorded at the irrigation building on JLN Marg in Jaipur, 74.2 mm at the Jaipur airport and 66.8 mm at the Meteorological Center office. Most of this rain occurred after 6:30 pm. A private school bus got stuck on the culvert of Kerala river in Sirohi of the state.

There were 35 children in the bus. At the same time, the police said that two bike riders were swept away while crossing the bridge of Bedach river in Chittorgarh. Flood-like conditions occurred due to waterlogging in Bijolia area of Bhilwara where a boat was seen running on a road filled with water. While the bridge of Eru river was filled with water up to five feet. Due to heavy rains in Jhalawar, the situation is bad in about half a dozen villages.

School Holiday: Holidays have been announced for the academic session 2024-25 in Chhattisgarh. A total of 64 days of holidays have been given by the government in schools and B.Ed-D.Ed colleges in this session.

For this, the Directorate of Public Instruction has sent a letter to the Education Department announcing the holidays. It mentions the holidays of Dussehra and Diwali.

According to the proposal, there will be a 6-day holiday in schools from 7 October to 12 October on the occasion of Dussehra. There is a Sunday before and after this. That means a total of 8 days holiday can be given in schools. Apart from this, 6 days holiday will be given from 28 October to 2 November on the occasion of Deepawali. There is a Sunday before and after this holiday too. This means that children will be able to enjoy with their families for 8 days in this festival too.

The winter vacation will be for 6 days from 23 December to 28 December, while the summer vacation is proposed to be for a total of 46 days from 1 May to 15 June. As per the proposal, schools will remain closed for a total of 64 days.

School Holiday declared: On the instructions of the District Magistrate, holiday has been declared till January 6 in the schools from pre-primary to class 8 of the capital Lucknow. This decision was taken in view of the severe cold. Orders have been issued by BSA to all the schools.

In view of the severe cold and cold wave, the Basic Education Officer has declared holiday till January 6 in all the schools from classes Pre-Primary to 8th in the capital Lucknow. Also, the timings of schools from class 9 to 12 have been changed. School timings up to class 12th have been changed from 10 am to 3 pm.
