States have started making the list of holidays for the year 2024.

Uttar Pradesh government has also released its holiday calendar 2024 (Uttar Pradesh School Holidays List 2024). Along with the festivals falling in the year 2024, restricted holidays have also been declared. Know for how many days schools will remain closed in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2024.

Holiday Calendar of 2024

January 2024 Holiday

Apart from 2 holidays, there will be 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays in January 2024. Accordingly, most schools will remain closed for 10 days in January.

Holiday of February 2024

There will be no government holidays in February. According to their calendar, schools will remain closed on 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays i.e. 8 days.

Holiday of March 2024

In March, children will get several days of holidays on special occasions like Shivratri, Holi and Good Friday. Along with this, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays will also be available.

April 2024 Holiday

In April 2024, schools will remain closed on the occasions of birth anniversary and Eid etc. Apart from these holidays, 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays will also be available. Eid holiday will depend on the rising of the moon.

May 2024 Holiday 

The month of May remains deserted in terms of festivals. But apart from 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays, students can fully enjoy the summer holidays.

June 2024 Holiday 

Summer vacation will continue in June also due to extreme heat conditions in most of the states. Apart from this, 10 holidays of 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays will remain fixed.

July 2024 Holiday 

There are no special festivals in July also. Students will definitely get 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays as leave.

August 2024 Holiday

The festival season starts from August. With Rakshabandhan and Janmashtami, houses and markets become vibrant. There will be 5 Sundays and 4 Saturdays in August 2024.

September 2024 Holiday

There will be 4 Saturdays and 5 Sundays in September 2024. In many states there is a long holiday on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

October 2024 Holiday 

School children will have fun in October 2024. All major Hindu festivals are in this month. Apart from this, there will also be holiday of 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays.

November 2024 Holiday

Due to the delay in Diwali, this time November will start with holidays. There will also be 5 Saturdays and 4 Sundays in November 2024.

December 2024 Holiday 

Apart from Christmas, there will also be a winter vacation in most of the schools in December. Also available on 4 Saturdays and 5 Sundays.

UP Restricted Holiday List 2024

UP government has also released the list of restricted holidays. In this, schools and offices can give holidays as per their wish.
