IMD Issues Yellow Alert As Satellite Images Show Two Massive Weather Systems Clashing Over India

Sky watchers IMD see a heavy storm hit the north hills because early monsoon clouds build fast over the south coast.

Two massive weather systems are moving across the country at this hour. And first the weather bureau issued a yellow alert for the northern hills. So now fresh satellite scans show a heavy storm sweeping east. After that this system brings active rain and gusty winds to several states. Meanwhile giant cloud shields are visible on the latest space images. So right now a huge spiral cloud mass stretches over Jammu & Kashmir. It also covers Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The latest space images show dense cloud tops. These cold clouds are curling over the high peaks. So weather experts confirmed this is a classic sign of an active storm. Plus this wet system is interacting directly with hot summer air. This air sits over the northern plains. Then bright white cloud bands indicate towering thunderclouds. These clouds show strong growth. So these systems are highly capable of producing intense rain. They can also bring sharp lightning and local hail.

Early Southwest Monsoon Signals Build Over Kerala Coast

At the same time another major weather story is unfolding fast. This setup is building near the southern peninsula. And first large clusters of deep storm clouds are forming. They are rising over the Arabian Sea near Kerala and Lakshadweep. Next this rapid growth signals a strong rise in monsoon power. Meanwhile the general clouding pattern shows a major shift in moisture transport. This moisture moves from the south ocean straight into the coast. The main office has already issued a separate yellow alert for rain across Kerala. Plus officials maintain that the official monsoon onset is likely to hit by May 26. Next many of these vital signals are falling into place perfectly. Then the agency also warned of isolated heavy to very heavy rain down south. This rain will hit between May 28 and June 3. So such intense rain episodes are common during the active burst phase because ocean winds push vast moisture inland.

Meanwhile a large part of northwest and central India remains trapped. This zone stays under severe heatwave conditions. So this extreme clash is helping fuel violent storms up north. According to the academic calendar, the summer vacation of children will end on June 30. But teachers will have to report to schools two days before on April 28. The calendar also states that admissions for classes VI to VIII will be done at the school level throughout the year. While unplanned admissions will be in three cycles and registration for these will also be done in three phases.

Compartment exam results to be announced on May 8

According to the calendar, the results of the compartment exams of classes 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th will be released on May 8. Apart from this, the mid-term exams will be conducted from September 15 to October 10.

Winter holidays from January 1st

The Delhi Education Directorate has also announced the autumn vacations. This vacation will be from September 29 to October 1. Whereas, the winter vacations will be from January 1 to January 15, 2026.

Along with this, if we talk about Haryana, then there will be a heat wave in the surrounding areas of Sirsa, Fatehabad, Mahindergarh.

Director Surinder Pal said that the main reason for the heatwave is that there is no possibility of rain and the entire environment is cloudless. There is no western disturbance here and neither has there been much rain in the last few days. He said that there is no possibility of rain in the coming days either. He said that last time too, there was a lot of heat in 2024. In such a situation, this year too the heat can break its record. It is worth mentioning that last year there was a record-breaking heat in Haryana and the mercury reached 48 degrees.

37 degrees mercury in Haryana

On Wednesday, the mercury was recorded around 35 degrees in many areas of Haryana. The highest temperature was recorded in Bhiwani at 37.2 degrees. Similarly, the maximum temperature in Chandigarh was 34.5, in Sirsa and Faridabad 36 degrees, in Gurugram 34.8, in Nornaul 36 and in Rohtak 37 degrees. Now AC, coolers and fans have started working across the state.
