To ensure that long distance passengers do not face any problem in travelling, Railways has now announced to run Vande Bharat and Tejas trains from Delhi to Bihar and UP. Let us tell you that about 3000 special trains are already running on different routes.

People going home to celebrate the festival are not getting confirmed tickets in trains. Be it sleeper coach or AC coach, there is no space in any category. Trains going towards the east are the most crowded.

This is causing inconvenience to passengers. For their convenience, the railways are running special trains. In this series, the Northern Railway has announced to run semi high speed Vande Bharat Express and special Tejas Express for Patna.

New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Festival Special Express (02252/02251)

This special Vande Bharat Express will depart from New Delhi at 8.25 am on October 30, November 1, 3 and 6 and will reach Patna at 8 pm on the same day. On the return journey, this special train will depart from Patna at 7.30 am on October 31, November 2, 4 and 7 and will reach New Delhi at 7 pm on the same day. On the way, it will stop at Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar and Ara railway stations. Eight chair car coaches will be installed in this special Vande Bharat Express.

New Delhi-Patna Tejas Festival Special (02248/02247)

Festival Special Tejas Express will depart from New Delhi at 8.25 am on October 29 and 31, November 2 and 5 and reach Patna at 8.30 pm on the same day. On return, it will depart from Patna at 7.30 am on October 30, November 1, 3 and 6 and reach New Delhi at 7.35 pm on the same day. En route, it will stop at Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar and Ara railway stations. It will have unreserved, sleeper and AC class coaches.

This year the Railways is running 2944 trains.

Indian Railways has given a big relief to those going home during the festive season. In view of the problems faced by the passengers, the Railways is running special trains on different routes. Last year, from October 1 to November 30, Northern Railways had run a total of 1082 special trains.

This time 2944 festival special trains are being run. More than 80 percent of these trains are being run for Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. This is 1862 more than last year. So that passengers do not have to face problems during the journey.

Indian Railways: Nowadays, most people stay away from their homes for jobs and are able to go home only on festivals or special occasions. In such a situation, many times people are not able to get train tickets to go home during Diwali-Chhath or their tickets remain waiting. In view of the huge demand of passengers, Indian Railways has made special arrangements this time. In fact, in view of the crowd of people going home during Diwali-Chhath, the Railways has announced to run Vande Bharat and Tejas trains on the New Delhi-Patna route. Let’s know the time schedule.

Many festival special trains will run on this route. On the occasion of the festival of lights Diwali and the festival of folk faith Daala Chhath, people of UP-Bihar living in many cities of the country return to their homes to celebrate the festival. In such a situation, there is a huge crowd in the trains. In view of the crowd in trains during these festivals, Indian Railways is continuously operating special trains. In this sequence, along with Vande Bharat Special and Tejas Festival Special trains between Patna and New Delhi, the Railways has decided to operate a special train from New Delhi to Barauni and Jaynagar via DDU-Patna-Mokma.

CPRO of East Central Railway Saraswati Chandra said that in view of the rush of passengers on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath, many special trains are being operated for their convenience. In this series, 02252/02251 New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Special Express and 02250/02249 New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Tejas Superfast Festival Special will be operated between Patna and New Delhi and 01-01 pair of special trains will also be operated from New Delhi to Barauni and Jaynagar via DDU-Patna-Mokma.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jn. at 17.10 hrs, Buxar at 18.35 hrs and Ara at 19.28 hrs and will reach Patna Jn. at 20.30 hrs on the same day.

In the return journey, Train No. 02247 Patna-New Delhi Tejas Superfast Festival Special Express will leave Patna at 07.30 hrs on 30 October, 01, 03 & 06 November, 2024, stopping at Ara at 08.05 hrs, Buxar at 08.47 hrs, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jn. at 10.30 hrs, Prayagraj at 12.30 hrs and Kanpur Central at 14.38 hrs and reach New Delhi at 19.35 hrs on the same day.

Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn. at 13.25 hrs, Buxar at 14.35 hrs, Ara at 15.23 hrs and Danapur at 15.55 hrs and reach Patna Jn. at 16.40 hrs.

Every rail passenger gets 53% discount on fare

In the Loksabha, a question was asked to the Railway Minister that 63 lakh senior citizens stopped traveling by rail due to lack of Railway Concession, so whether the Standing Committee of Parliament (Parliament) to give concession on railway fare to senior citizens again. The Railway Minister agreed that the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways has suggested giving concession on rail tickets to senior citizens in sleeper and 3AC classes.

Senior citizens should travel at their convenience

The Railway Minister informed the House that Indian Railways runs Garib Rath, Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto, Vande Bharat, Gatimaan, Tejas, Humsafar, apart from Mail-Express and general passenger trains. In which there is a different fare structure for passengers in First AC, Second AC, Third AC, AC Chair Car, Sleeper Class with Reserve and Second Class of Unregenerate Category. Senior citizens can travel in it as per their convenience.

No discount for senior citizens on air travel

The Railway Minister was asked whether private airlines are giving concession on air ticket fare to senior citizens. So the Railway Minister said that the DGCA has not issued any guidelines or circular regarding giving concession to senior citizens on air travel.
