Solar Eclipse 2025 Date and Time

The first solar eclipse of the year will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025. The eclipse will begin at 2:20 pm Indian time (IST), while its maximum effect will be at 4:17 pm and it will end at 5:43 pm.

According to US time (EDT), the eclipse will begin at 4:50 a.m., reach its peak at 6:47 a.m., and end at 8:43 p.m.

Will the solar eclipse be visible in India?

This solar eclipse will be visible mainly in Asia, Africa, Europe, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean, North America and parts of South America. However, this eclipse will not be visible in India.

Will there be Sutak period in India?

The first solar eclipse of the year 2025 will take place on March 29, which will be a partial solar eclipse. However, it will not be visible in India, so the Sutak period will not be valid here. According to astrology, many rules are followed to consider the eclipse as auspicious or inauspicious. However, since it will not be visible in India, it will not have any religious or spiritual effect either. Usually, it is advised to avoid eating and drinking during the eclipse, worship Hanuman ji and take a bath after the eclipse. But this time there will be no religious restrictions in India and people’s daily routine will remain normal.

Never look at a solar eclipse with naked eyes, it can cause serious damage to the eyes.

Use solar viewing glasses (ISO 12312-2 certified).

The solar eclipse can also be viewed safely through a pinhole projector.

It is not safe to view the eclipse through ordinary sunglasses or color film.

What is partial solar eclipse?

According to NASA, when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, the Sun’s light is partially or completely blocked for some time. In a total solar eclipse, the Sun is completely covered. In a partial solar eclipse, only a part of the Sun is covered. In an annular solar eclipse, the Moon covers the center of the Sun but a bright ring is visible at the edge.

When will the next solar eclipse be?

The second solar eclipse in the year 2025 will take place on 21 September 2025, which will be a partial solar eclipse. Although this time the solar eclipse will not be visible in India, scientists and astronomy lovers around the world are ready to see it.

SpiceJet airline has scheduled flight operations from Jaipur to Prayagraj for one month. Regulatory agency DGCA has given permission to SpiceJet airline to operate this flight. This flight will operate daily from Jaipur. The flight will start from January 12, which will operate till February 10. With the direct flight, devotees will be able to reach Prayagraj directly in just 1 hour 15 minutes of flight time.

78 seater aircraft will fly between Jaipur and Prayagraj

SpiceJet airline will operate a 78-seater aircraft between Jaipur and Prayagraj. Let us tell you that earlier Alliance Air had also released a schedule for running a direct flight from Jaipur to Prayagraj. However, instead of running daily, Alliance Air’s flight will run only 1 day a week. Alliance Air’s flight will go to Prayagraj every Friday.

Daily direct flight for Maha Kumbh

• Flight SG-2963 will depart from Jaipur at 7:05 am
• The flight will reach Prayagraj airport at 9 am
• On return, flight SG-2964 will depart from Prayagraj at 9:30 am
• The flight will reach Jaipur airport at 11:15 am
• Flight 9I-322 will depart from Jaipur at 6:05 pm
• The flight will reach Prayagraj airport at 7:55 pm
• This flight will operate from 10 January to 21 February
• It will be operated only 1 day a week, every Friday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi is going to get another gift from today i.e. Thursday. The country’s first water taxi with hydrogen fuel will now run on the ghats of Banaras. All its preparations have been completed and the water taxi will start operating from June 15.

Earlier, the country’s first river cruise was also flagged off from Banaras. While the cruise has to travel to Dibrugarh in Assam via Bangladesh within 50 days, the water taxi is being run between the major ghats of Banaras. This water taxi to be run on the river Ganges is being started under the pilot project. Soon more such water taxis will be operated. It is planned that after Banaras, similar water taxis will be started operating on Yamuna river in Agra and Mathura.

What will be the route of water taxi

Additional Municipal Commissioner Sumit Kumar says that this water taxi will be run between Ramnagar Fort to Namo Ghat. The distance between the two is about 11 kilometers. Many stops have also been made in between. There will be a total of 3 stoppages in the middle of this route. This water taxi will also be stopped at Asi Ghat, Dashashwamedh Ghat and Raj Ghat. The official says that currently 2 water taxis are being run on the Ganges, but there are plans to run 4 more water taxis after the flood season is over.

What will be the fare

Varanasi Municipal Corporation has started operating this water taxi to reduce the traffic pressure on the roads. Along with the route being fixed, its fare has also been fixed. Passengers will be charged a fare of Rs 15 per kilometer for this high speed taxi between Ramnagar to Namo Ghat. Therefore, passengers will have to pay Rs 165 for this 11 kilometer journey.

Soon the taxi will go till Kashi Vishwanath

A water taxi will have the capacity to seat 80 passengers at a time. The responsibility of its operation has been entrusted to the Roadways Management. The water taxi is currently being run from Ramnagar Fort to Namo Ghat, but soon it will be extended till the entry gate of Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Almost all its work has been completed. In the coming days, devotees will be able to reach Kashi Vishwanath Dham directly through this water taxi.
