Since whatever cost is incurred in the construction of the expressway, it is reimbursed. However, now the people of Madhya Pradesh and those going there are going to have fun. Please note that now there will be no toll for private vehicles. Only commercial vehicles will pay toll.

MPRDC (Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation Limited) DM MH Rizvi said that earlier it was decided to collect toll from all four wheelers. But on the orders of the government, now toll tax will be collected from commercial vehicles only.

In the cabinet meeting last month, it was decided to give relief in toll tax to private vehicles including cars, jeeps and passenger buses on this route. After which the tender process is being completed afresh. It is being told that after the completion of the tender process by next month, all the three toll blocks built on the said route will start. It is noteworthy that MPRDC has got the asphalt work done on the said road three months back. To recover its amount, it has been decided to levy toll.

They will not have to pay toll tax

At the same time, let us tell you that some categories have also been created by the government. Those involved are not required to pay toll tax. Earlier 9 people were included in these categories, while now it has been increased to 25. These include vehicles from government employees to dead bodies, which do not have to pay toll tax.

All vehicles of Government of India and Government of Madhya Pradesh on official duty, non-commercial vehicles of former and present Members of Parliament and Legislative Assembly, all vehicles on duty on 17 routes of the State. Vehicles of Indian Army, Ambulances, Fire Brigade, Indian Posts and Telegraph Department, Tractor Trolleys used for agricultural purposes, Auto Rickshaws, Two wheelers, Bullock carts, Freedom fighters and recognized journalists and also passenger vehicles such as Buses, Cars, jeeps etc. will be exempted from toll.

If you belong to these 25 categories, you will not be taxed

  • President
  • vice president
  • Prime minister
  • ministers
  • MP minister
  • judge-magistrate
  • senior officer
  • Defense Police
  • fire fighting car
  • Ambulances
  • magistrate secretary
  • officials of various ministries
  • Secretaries of various departments
  • Selected state and central government officials
  • Officials of the National Highways Authority. Apart from these, those people who have been given exemption by the state governments can also join.

Nitin Gadkari has made a big announcement regarding toll tax, which will affect crores of drivers. Gadkari has told that before the year 2024, 26 green expressways will be built in the country and also new rules will be issued for toll tax.

There will be a change in toll tax technology, let us tell you that after the construction of Green Expressway, India will become equal to America in the matter of roads. Along with this, the Union Minister told that there will be a big change in the rules and technology to collect toll tax.

Government can make 2 methods for recovery of toll tax Government is planning to give 2 options for recovery of toll in the coming days. The first option in this is to install a ‘GPS’ system in the cars. Whereas, the second method is related to the modern number plate. At present, planning is going on for this.

While giving information, there is no provision for any punishment,

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that there is no provision of any kind of punishment for non-payment of toll tax. Along with this, the Union Minister said that in the coming days, emphasis will also be laid on the use of technology to collect toll tax.

Money will be deducted directly from the account

Nitin Gadkari has further said that till now there is no provision of punishment for not paying toll, but preparations are on to bring a bill regarding toll. Now toll tax will be deducted directly from your bank account.

No separate action will be taken for this. Nitin Gadkari has told that now toll tax will not have to be paid, the amount will be deducted directly from your account. Apart from this, the Union Minister said, ‘In 2019, we made a rule that cars will come with company-fitted number plates. That’s why the vehicles that have come in the last four years have different number plates.

Who gets toll tax exemption?
