Rail traffic will be affected due to the commissioning work of automatic signaling system between Basti-Govindnagar stations of Gorakhpur-Gonda railway section. The railway administration has decided to cancel many trains and change the route of 17 trains on 29 and 30 March.

These trains will remain cancelled.

Railways have decided to completely cancel Gorakhpur-Lucknow Intercity Express and Bhatni-Ayodhya MEMU on 29 and 30 March. Passengers travelling on these days will have to make alternative arrangements. However, the railway administration has also released a schedule for the convenience of passengers.

Route change of 17 trains

According to Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, Amritsar-Jaynagar Express and Jammu Tawi-Barauni Express will be operated via Gonda-Badhni-Gorakhpur route. Passengers have been advised to check the new schedule of their train so that there is no problem in traveling.

Apart from this, it has been decided to run Bihar Sampark Kranti Express, Sapt Kranti Express, Darbhanga-New Delhi Special Train, Barauni-New Delhi Special Train via Gorakhpur-Badhni-Gonda route instead of Gorakhpur-Basti-Gonda route.

There will be a change in the route of these trains

• New Delhi-Darbhanga special train
• Gomtinagar-Chhapra Express
• Sapt Kranti Express (from Anand Vihar Terminus)
• Gandhidham-Bhagalpur special train
• Amrapali Express (from Amritsar)
• Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur Express
• Bagh Express (from Kathgodam)
• New Delhi-Barauni special train

These trains will be run via Gonda-Badhni-Gorakhpur route instead of Gonda-Basti-Gorakhpur route.
