Paytm’s new service, you can make payments through the app even while traveling abroad

Paytm : Fintech company Paytm has taken a new initiative to make foreign travel easier for its users. Under this, Paytm users will now be able to make payments through UPI at several selected places while traveling abroad.

Indian travelers can now easily make cashless payments using their Paytm app at places where UPI is accepted. These include popular spots in UAE, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Bhutan and Nepal. This means that now it will be easier for Paytm users to shop, eat or pay for other things abroad.

What is special in this new feature of Paytm?

UPI International can be easily activated on the Paytm app, with users having to do a one-time activation by linking their bank account. When scanning a UPI-enabled QR code abroad, the app will automatically prompt for activation for easy access.

Travelers can choose a usage period from 1 to 90 days depending on their trip and can deactivate the service at any time so that payments are made only when they want. This feature helps prevent accidental transactions with foreign merchants once users return to India, providing additional security and control over the feature.

Transparency has also been taken care of

During payment, users can view the foreign exchange rates and any conversion fees applied by the bank, ensuring complete transparency in transactions. Paytm’s UPI International service enables travellers to manage their spends with ease and control across popular international destinations.

This feature can be used to find everything from restaurants and shopping spots in Dubai, popular markets in Singapore and beach bazaars in Mauritius to artisan craft shops in Bhutan and local shopping in Nepal.
