This is such a document for all of us, which identifies being a citizen of the country. Today we are not going to talk about the Aadhar card of elders, but about the Aadhar card of younger children.

Nowadays it has become very important to have Aadhar card for young children. Now the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said in a statement that from April to July, more than 7.9 million children under the age of five have been registered under the Unique Identification Authority of India’s child Aadhaar initiative.

Registration of over 7.9 million children “Bal Aadhaar registration is progressing very well, with increased pace across the country…,” the statement said, adding that 26.4 million children in the age group of 0 to five had access as of March. Till the end of the year, there was a child base and by the end of July this number increased to 34.3 million.

The ministry said that 70% of the target group was enrolled in states like Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Mizoram, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh. Aadhar card will have to be updated twice Biometrics have not been developed for children below five years of age. In such a situation, biometric information such as fingerprints and iris scan are not included in the child’s Aadhaar data.

The biometrics should be updated once the child reaches the age of five. When these children turn 5 and 15 years old, they will have to update their biometrics, which include ten fingers, iris and a picture of their face. There will be an indication to this effect in the original Aadhaar letter.
