Apart from this, there is an alert of heavy rain in Sitapur, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Ambedkarnagar, Lakhimpur Kheri. Not only this, a warning has been issued for strong winds and lightning along with moderate rain in 40 districts including Lucknow and Kanpur.

Orange alert issued in these districts

Meteorologist Mohammad Danish said that an orange alert for heavy rain has been issued for today in Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and its surrounding districts. He said that there is a forecast of heavy rain in these districts tomorrow as well.

Senior scientist of Lucknow Meteorological Center, Atul Kumar Singh, said that during the last 24 hours, 72 mm rain was recorded in Barabanki, 4 mm in Hardoi, 11 mm in Lakhimpur Kheri, 67 mm in Gorakhpur, 27 mm in Ballia, 32 mm in Bahraich, 40 mm in Prayagraj, 10 mm in Fatehpur, 19 mm in Bareilly, 10 mm in Shahjahanpur, 20 mm in Moradabad, while 2 to 3 mm rain was recorded in Meerut and the Taj city of Agra.
