Giving information in the ‘All-In Podcast’, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said that the popularity of this scheme can be gauged from the fact that 1000 ‘Gold Cards’ have been sold in just one day. He said that this scheme will be officially launched in the next two weeks.

‘Gold card’ will give you special rights like green card

Donald Trump has described the ‘Golden Visa’ scheme as a better alternative to America’s existing EB-5 visa program. He said that the ‘Gold Card’ received under this scheme will give holders special rights similar to the Green Card. Currently, the easiest way to obtain alternative citizenship in America is the EB-5 visa program, under which investors have to invest 1 million dollars (about Rs 8.75 crore).

Trump said that under his plan, a target has been set to sell 10 lakh ‘Gold Cards’ in the future. Donald Trump believes that the ‘Golden Visa’ scheme will promote investment in America. Apart from this, this scheme will also help in preventing fraud in the EB-5 visa program and curbing bureaucracy.
