Western Railways has planned to start Vande Bharat Express between Ahmedabad and Udaipur, which will be started only after the electrification work of Ahmedabad-Himmatnagar-Udaipur route is completed. This decision has been welcomed by the people associated with the tourism business in Udaipur, because both Ahmedabad and Udaipur are very important cities in terms of tourism. A large number of tourists plan to visit both these cities in a single long trip, and the launch of Vande Bharat Express will make their journey even more convenient.

The date of starting of Vande Bharat Express has not been officially announced yet, but Western Railways has verbally given information related to its timing, fare and stoppage. It is expected that this Vande Bharat Express can be started any time after January 26, i.e. in the last few days of January or by mid-February. However, it has not been officially confirmed yet.

This Vande Bharat Express will be an 8 coach mini train, which will provide fast and convenient travel between Udaipur and Ahmedabad. Currently, it takes at least 5 hours to reach Udaipur from Ahmedabad by road, but Vande Bharat Express will cover this distance in just 4 hours. This will be a big relief for the passengers and they will experience a faster and more convenient journey.

Information has been received about the timing of Vande Bharat Express between Ahmedabad-Udaipur. This train will run 6 days a week, but it will not be operated on Tuesday. This train will leave from Udaipur at 6.10 am and reach Ahmedabad at 10.25 am. On the return, this train will leave from Ahmedabad at 5.45 pm and reach Udaipur at 10 pm. On the way, this train will stop for 2 minutes at only 1 station, Himmatnagar.

People associated with the tourism business in Udaipur have welcomed this initiative of Western Railways, but they have suggested that the time of the train should be fixed keeping in mind the check-in and check-out time at the hotel. This will help in attracting tourists, especially for people coming from Ahmedabad who come to visit Eklingnath ji and Shrinath ji. Apart from this, the fare of the train is also an important aspect, which has not been informed yet.

According to media reports, this Vande Bharat Express will take only 4 hours to cover the distance of 296 km between Ahmedabad and Udaipur, which will be a convenient and time-saving option for tourists and pilgrims. This train will depart from Asarwa station in Ahmedabad. On September 22 (Sunday), train number 20102 departed from Secunderabad to Nagpur with more than 1,200 seats vacant. The total capacity of the train is 1,440 seats. Apart from this, less than 10 passengers had booked the 88-seater executive.

According to a media report , due to a decrease in the number of passengers, the authorities may consider discontinuing the operation of the Secunderabad-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express. This train was launched on September 16. Railway officials have said that if the passenger count remains low, the number of coaches will be reduced. Currently, this train is running with 20 coaches, but a decision can be taken to reduce it to 8 coaches. In such a situation, the number of seats will be reduced significantly. Through this train, the railways aimed to connect the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra with Ramagundam, Kazipet and Secunderabad, so that local people can take advantage of business, family or tourism related travel.

Meanwhile, Indian Railways plans to introduce the sleeper version of Vande Bharat Express in the coming days, for which preparations are in full swing. According to the report of Amar Ulala, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Kalpana Saini herself has given this information. He told that there was a demand especially from the traders that the train should be operated on Wednesday. Due to its closure on this day, there is a problem in the movement of business.

Kalpana Saini said, ‘I had sent a proposal regarding this demand. The ministry has approved it. Actually, the operation of Dehradun-New Delhi Vande Bharat train remains closed one day a week. In such a situation, if this train runs on Wednesday then it can be stopped on any other day of the week.

The information on which day its operation will stop instead of Wednesday has not been revealed yet. At the same time, operation of passenger trains has stopped in Laksar, Haridwar since the Corona period. It is being told that these can be run again soon.

Let us tell you that the operation of Uttarakhand’s first Vande Bharat Express started from 29 May 2023. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off this Vande Bharat train on May 25. After this its commercial service started. This train covers a distance of 302 kilometers which takes 4 hours 45 minutes.

This Vande Bharat train between Dehradun and New Delhi stops at a total of 5 stations which include Haridwar, Roorkee, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Meerut City railway stations. This Vande Bharat leaves Dehradun at 7 am and reaches Delhi at 11.45 am. At the same time, train number 22457 leaves from Delhi at 17:50 and reaches Dehradun at 22:35.
