In the last few days, many rules related to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) have changed. This is going to affect crores of EPFO customers. One of these rules is related to the process of PF claim and the other is about verification. Let us know about all three rules in sequence.

Face Verification Rules

-Now EPFO subscribers can avail Universal Account Number (UAN) and related services through face verification. Recently, Union Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has launched upgraded digital services for allocating and activating UAN of Provident Fund through face verification.

Now employees can directly generate their UAN using Aadhaar Face Verification Technology (FAT) with the help of ‘Umang’ mobile app. Any employer can use Umang app to generate UAN using Aadhaar FAT for any new employee. Members who already have UAN but have not activated it yet can now easily activate their UAN through Umang app.

No need to upload picture of cheque

– EPFO has also made changes in online claims of PF. Interested applicants do not need to upload the picture of cancelled cheque and their bank accounts do not need to be verified by employers. Currently, EPFO members have to upload the verified photo copy of cheque or passbook of bank account linked to UAN or PF number while applying for online withdrawal of funds from PF accounts.

– Similarly, employers are also required to approve the applicant’s bank account details. Now approval is not required even in case of employers. These two requirements have been abolished to ensure ‘ease of living’ for EPF members and ‘ease of doing business’ for employers.

Debit Credit Card Usage Rules: The Reserve Bank of India has recently issued new guidelines regarding the usage of debit and credit cards. These new rules are aimed at enhancing security and providing convenience to cardholders.

Two-step verification is now necessary:

To strengthen the security of electronic transactions through cards, RBI has made two-step verification mandatory. Now all debit and credit card payments will mandatorily have to go through this process. Two-step verification involves using a PIN number or a one-time password (OTP) to complete a card transaction. This reduces the chances of fraud considerably.

Contactless card transactions:

RBI has revised the limit for contactless i.e. contactless card transactions. Cardholders can now make contactless payments up to Rs 5,000 per transaction without entering a PIN. The objective of this change is to promote the use of digital payments and increase convenience for small transactions.

Use of the card abroad :

Under the new guidelines, restrictions have been imposed on international use of debit and credit cards. Cardholders will now be required to enable or disable their cards for international transactions based on their preferences. This feature provides an additional layer of security by allowing users to control the usage of their card outside the country.

Online Transaction Alert :

In an effort to increase transparency and help cardholders monitor their transactions, the RBI has mandated banks to send SMS and email alerts for all card transactions. These alerts should be sent in real time or maximum within 5 minutes of the transaction taking place. Now it will be mandatory to give information about all transactions to the users immediately.

Failed Transaction :

To protect customers from fraudulent activities, RBI has put a limit on transaction failures. If a card transaction fails, banks and financial institutions have to refund the money within a stipulated time frame. Not only this, any charges levied by the bank for the failed transaction will have to be refunded to the customer.

These new RBI guidelines are aimed at ensuring safety, convenience and overall satisfaction of debit and credit card users. It is essential for cardholders to stay updated with these rules to make the right financial decisions and safeguard their transactions. Detailed information on the latest RBI guidelines on debit and credit cards can be obtained from the RBI website or from the bank concerned.

The post Debit Credit Card Usage Rules: Know the new rules before using debit-credit card first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

ITR Filing Update: The last date to file ITR was 31st July. If you have not filled
your ITR, then now you fill it immediately with penalty. Meanwhile, let us tell you
that the government has changed another big rule of ITR. The government has
tightened the rules of e-verification. According to the notification issued by the
Finance Ministry, now such people will get only 30 days for e-verification.

Department issued order!

As per the order, the Income Tax Department has reduced the deadline for submission
of hard copy of ITR-V or e-verification after filing income tax return from the existing 120
days to 30 days, with effect from 1st August i.e. Has gone. The department had
announced the change in the deadline by issuing a notification on July 29. That is, for
those who submitted ITR on August 1, the last date for e-verification is August 31.

These rules have been applied to tax payers who file their income tax returns on or after August 1. According to the new notification of CBDT, now the date of furnishing the return electronically will be deemed to be the same when Form ITR-V is submitted within 30 days from the date of transmission of data electronically.

Verification is mandatory:

As per income tax laws, ‘ITR will not be considered valid if it is not verified after filing. As per the rule you can verify this in six ways. Generally, audit of ITR-1, ITR-2 and ITR-4 is not required. Let us know in which ways ITR can be verified.

How to E-Verify ITR through Aadhaar:

Step 1: Go to https://www.incometax.gov.in to access your e-filing account Step 2: Select e-Verify Return option under Quick Links.

Step 3: In this, select Verify using OTP on the mobile number registered with

Aadhaar. Then click on e-Verify screen.

Step 4: Select ‘Agree to verify Aadhaar details’ as checked on the Aadhaar OTP screen. Then click on Generate Aadhaar OTP.

Step 5: After entering the 6-digit OTP sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile number, click on Validate.

Step 6: Remember that this OTP is valid for 15 minutes only. You will be given three chances to enter the correct OTP. You will also see an OTP expiry countdown timer on the screen, which will notify you when the OTP is received. Whereas when you click on Resend OTP, a new OTP will be generated and you will get it.

Step 7: Now a page with the success message and transaction ID will appear. Keep the transaction ID handy for further use. A confirmation message will also be sent on the e-mail and mobile number that you have given on the filing portal.

You can do ITR e-verify in these ways:

1. Through Aadhaar OTP

2. By logging into e-filing account through Net Banking

3. EVC through Bank Account Number

iv. EVC through Demat Account Number

v. EVC through Bank ATM

vi. By sending signed copy of ITR-V through post to CPC, Bengaluru

The post ITR New Deadline: Government has given a big order for taxpayers, know about the new deadline for ITR. first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

The last date to file ITR for the financial year 2022-23 was 31 July 2022. If someone has not filed his ITR yet, then such people will have to file his ITR by paying a penalty.

Apart from all this, the government has issued an important notification for ITR e-Verification. According to the Finance Ministry, now ITR e-verification will have to be done within 30 days, for which earlier 120 days were available.

When will the ITR filing date be considered

In fact, the Finance Ministry issued a notification saying that those people who have not filed their ITR till 31 July, those people will have 30 days to file ITR from 1 August to 31 December 2022. You will have to get your e-verification done inside.

This new rule will be applicable to those people who have not filed their ITR till July 31 due to some reason. According to the notification, the date of filing ITR will be considered from the date of verification.

This means that if you file your ITR on 1st August and your e-verification happens on 30th August, then the date of filing ITR will be considered as 30th August, not 1st August. .

What if the verification is not done within 30 days?

According to the notification issued by the Finance Ministry, this new rule will not apply to those people who have filed ITR till July 31. This rule will be applicable only to those who have not filed their ITR for the financial year 2022-23 by 31 July 2022.

People who filed ITR with penalty between August 1 and December 31 will have to do their e-verification within 30 days, if the taxpayer is not able to do so within a period of 30 days in any case, then his ITR ( ITR) filing will be treated as invalid.
