Similarly, your PAN card is also included in this because you need it for many other works from bank to income tax, but do you know about e-PAN card? If not, then it becomes important to know that this can also be very beneficial for you. So let’s know about e-PAN card. You can know about it in the next slides…

What is e-PAN?
  • If you have a PAN card, then know that e-PAN card is an electronic copy of this PAN card.
  • You can keep this e-PAN in mobile, computer, pen drive etc.
  • The biggest advantage of e-PAN card is that there is no fear of it being lost or stolen, nor of the PAN card being broken.

This is how you can get an e-PAN card:-

Step No. 1

  • If you have not made an e-PAN card, then you can get it made
  • For this, you have to visit the official website of Income Tax Department https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
  • Here you first have to go to the ‘Quick Links’ section and here you have to click on the ‘Instant E-PAN’ option

Step number 2

  • Now you will see the option ‘Get New e-PAN’ on which you have to click
  • After that enter your Aadhaar number.
  • Then you will be asked for some information which you must fill in.
  • After this an OTP will be sent to your mobile number, enter it here

Step number 3

  • After filling the OTP, you should have your email ID
  • You have to enter your email ID here.
  • After this, you have to fill in the required information.
  • Then you have to click on submit, after which you will get the PAN card number and then you have to click on the link to download PAN from this website
  • Now you can download e-PAN card from here.
