Parliament. He has called it a complete reset (major change) of Britain’s immigration strategy. These new rules of the immigration system will come into effect from 22 July this year. The new rules on the recommendations in the white paper are to be implemented by the end of this year.

Under this, more than 100 occupations will be removed from eligibility under the skilled worker visa route in the new rules in the UK immigration system. The limit of skill level and salary requirements will be increased and the visa route for foreign social care workers will be closed. Apart from this, the English language requirements for visa applicants will also be tightened.

Local people will get more opportunities

British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has said that our government ‘s effort in the new rules is to increase opportunities for local people. The four most important points of change are the first – removing 111 occupations from the skilled worker visa list, second – ending foreign recruitment for care workers, third – limiting lower degree level work with strict conditions and fourth – ordering a review of the roles, salaries and benefits of the Migration Advisory Committee.

The government says that these changes are to increase control over the immigration system and give priority to domestic workforce development. A large number of Indians live in Britain and also go there for work. In such a situation, this decision can create problems for Indians. Yvette Cooper said that we are making major changes in our immigration system to restore proper control and order.

Kapoor said that the reason for making big changes is the policies of the previous government. The previous UK government had increased immigration four times, which derailed the system. In such a situation, Keir Starmer’s government is making changes in it so that control can be re-established over this system. He has said that more steps will be taken in this direction soon.

Saudi Arabia is constantly improving the labor sector under Vision 2030, so that it becomes easier for foreigners to get jobs.

How to apply for Saudi Arabia work visa?

• Get a job offer: To get a job in Saudi Arabia, you must have a job offer from a company that is also sponsoring you.
• Get an invitation letter: The company providing the job provides an invitation letter, which is certified by the Saudi Foreign Ministry and the Saudi Chamber of Commerce.
• Prepare the necessary documents: Prepare the necessary documents like passport, filled visa application form, two passport size photos, signed employment contract, attested educational and professional certificates, medical certificate, police clearance certificate.

First of all, go to the Embassy or Consulate General of Saudi Arabia and submit the visa application form. While submitting the form, also attach all the necessary documents. Pay the visa application fee and wait for it to be received.

Usually it takes one to three weeks to get a visa. You can go to Saudi Arabia as soon as you get the visa. As soon as you reach the country, apply for Iqama i.e. residence permit within 90 days. With the receipt of Iqama, it becomes easier to live and work in the country.

Company owners and HR departments in Saudi are being asked to verify the certificates and information of expatriate employees. This initiative is expected to streamline the recruitment process and increase the quality of the workforce in Saudi Arabia. The circular issued by the Saudi mission in India states that professional verification will become one of the mandatory requirements for issuing work visas from January 14.

New rules will create problems

Saudi’s new rules are likely to cause many problems. There is a widespread complaint that there are not enough testing centers where applicants can get their verification done. Rajya Sabha member Haris Beeran says that testing centers for car drivers are located in Ajmer and Sikar in Rajasthan. Applicants, especially from the south, are forced to travel long distances to these places, causing them to face linguistic and logistical problems.
