With this step of the government, the employees of the institute will get equal status as other institutions and their morale will increase.

Many important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. A total of 30 important proposals were given the green signal. Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna informed about this decision while talking to journalists. He said that Uttar Pradesh Bhasha Sansthan, which comes under the Language Department, is an autonomous institution and its employees were demanding to increase their retirement age for a long time.

There will be an increase in equality among employees

The Finance Minister also stressed that this decision of the government is an important step towards bringing equality among employees. He said, ‘The retirement age in other autonomous institutions working under the same department is already 60 years. With this decision, the employees of the Bhasha Sansthan will also get equal status as other institutions.’

He said that all the procedural guidelines have been fully followed to implement this proposal. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna assured that all the necessary procedures have been completed, only after which the Cabinet has given its final approval.

10 important proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Decisions related to national security, agriculture, industrial development, and rural empowerment were taken in the meeting.

In the cabinet meeting, a congratulatory resolution was passed on the success of Indian Army’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ against terrorists in Pakistan after the Pahalgam massacre and the army was congratulated. This operation is being considered a major achievement for national security. Apart from this, a decision was taken to give the benefit of seventh pay commission to the employees working on contract in the Directorate of Civil Aviation.

These proposals were also approved

Under the Agriculture Department, approval was given to set up a seed park on 130.63 acres of land in Lucknow at a cost of Rs 251 crore 70 lakh. This seed park will be named after Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, which will increase self-sufficiency in seed production and provide employment to thousands of people.

Urban Development: Relief in Amrit Yojana

The proposal to reduce the share of the bodies under the Amrit Yojana was approved. It was decided to waive the share of Rs 90 crore of 7 bodies in Amrit Yojana 1, which will provide financial relief to the local bodies.

Amendment in Dairy Development Policy

Amendments were approved in the Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development and Milk Product Promotion Policy 2022 under the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development. Capital grants for setting up new milk processing units have been increased by 35%, which will encourage investment.

Boost industrial development

Approval was given to the proposal for improvement in subsidy to M/s RCCPL Raebareli. Approval was given to issue Letter of Comfort (LOC) of Rs 450.92 crore to JK Cement Prayagraj, Rs 469.61 crore to Moon Beverage Limited Hapur, Rs 403.88 crore to Silver Pulp and Paper Mill Muzaffarnagar, Rs 399.74 crore to Global Splits Limited Lakhimpur, and Rs 273.9 crore to Chandpur Enterprises.

Funds for Rural Development

A policy to encourage funds for expenditure on Gram Sabha meetings and other activities in rural areas was approved. This will promote rural empowerment.

Naming of Panchayat Utsav Bhawan

Under the Panchayati Raj department, the proposal for naming the Panchayat Utsav Bhawan was approved which will strengthen the Panchayati Raj system.

Civil Aviation: Salary benefits to employees

Approval was given for remuneration revision of contract employees (pilots, co-pilots, engineers, employees of Aeronautical Training Institute, and technical and non-technical staff) in Directorate of Civil Aviation. They will be provided salary benefits under the Seventh Pay Commission.

What is the new rule?

According to the information received, the cabinet of Yogi government has approved the ‘UP Municipal Corporation (Construction, Maintenance and Operation of Parking Space) Rules-2025’. Earlier the limit was only Rs 10 lakh

According to the news, earlier the limit of stamp duty exemption for women in Uttar Pradesh was up to Rs 10 lakh for property. According to an official statement, the Chief Minister also directed to charge a maximum fee of Rs 5,000 for division and registration of ancestral properties. He also emphasized on uniform circle rates, mandatory document verification before registration and use of technology for a simple process.

Instructions to make services digital

The statement said that the Chief Minister also directed the officials to improve the infrastructure of the registry office and make all public services digital. Stamp duty in Uttar Pradesh is a tax which is mandatory to be paid while registering a property transaction. Stamp duty is different for every property transaction in Uttar Pradesh. However, the Uttar Pradesh government has provided major relief on these charges in case of property transactions between blood relatives. This has relieved the people of Uttar Pradesh from a huge financial burden.

Stamp duty in UP varies depending on gender and deed type. It is important to pay stamp duty as it will ensure that the transaction is legal. Stamp duty in UP ranges from 5% to 7% of the market value or circle value of the property, whichever is higher.

In Gautam Buddha Nagar Development Authority, Ghaziabad, Agra, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow Municipal Corporations the fees have been fixed at Rs 65,000, Rs 90,000 for composite shop, Rs 1 lakh for model shop, up to three km outside the limits of other municipal corporations except category one, desi Rs 60,000, composite Rs 85,000, model shop Rs 90,000, in Nagar Panchayats desi Rs 50,000, composite Rs 65,000, model shop Rs 70,000, in rural areas desi Rs 40,000, composite Rs 55,000 and Rs 60,000 for model shop.

Liquor will become expensive from April

In the order issued by the Finance Department, it has been said that the government employees of the state will be given a bonus equal to 30 days of earned leave for the financial year 2023-24. In this regard, each employee will get a bonus of Rs 6,908. 75% of this bonus will be deposited in the Employees’ Provident Fund (GPF) account. At the same time, 25% will be paid in cash. After 75% is deposited in GPF, a cash payment of Rs 1727 will be made to the government employees. At the same time, the employee who is not a member of GPF will have to deposit this money in the form of National Savings Certificate or in PPF.

Now CCTV will have to be installed in all restaurants and hotels, so that any kind of irregularity can be monitored.

Strict action against operator or proprietor in case of irregularities

Finally, the Chief Minister clarified that if adulteration of waste or dirty things is found in any food establishment, then strict action will be taken against the operator or proprietor. By taking such steps, the government aims to not only ensure the safety of consumers but also maintain the quality of food items. These instructions are aimed at protecting the health of consumers as well as maintaining the hygiene and quality of food items, thereby increasing the reliability and standard in the food industry in Uttar Pradesh.

Here are the main guidelines given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath…

• Food adulteration : In recent times, there have been incidents of adulteration of items like juice, pulses, and bread with human waste and dirty things, which will not be tolerated.
• Intensive checking : All food establishments, such as Dhabas and restaurants, will be inspected. A state-wide intensive campaign will be conducted to verify operators and employees.
• Joint action : Investigation and action will be carried out by a joint team of Food Safety and Drug Administration, police and local administration.
• Display of Information : The name and address of the operator, proprietor, and manager shall be prominently displayed at eating establishments.
• Provision of CCTV : All food establishments will be fitted with CCTV cameras covering all areas. Operators have been directed to keep the CCTV feeds secure.
• Ensuring hygiene : Special attention will be paid to cleanliness at food centers. It will be mandatory for the staff to wear masks and gloves while preparing and serving food items.
• Strict action : Strict action will be taken against those who play with the health of the general public. Rules for activities related to food items will be made strict and prompt action will be taken against those who violate the rules.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that certification of food products should be done only by government agencies and it is not right to give certification by any non-government agency. To a question on the Uttar Pradesh government’s decision to ban the production, storage, distribution and sale of food products with ‘Halal’ certification, Sitharaman said that such certification should be given by any organization other than government organizations. Is not right.

He said, “Food quality and testing of food is essentially a government function. The government should do this work. For this we have the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Sitharaman said that government agencies themselves should find out what kind of chemical additives, artificial or harmful colors are present in food products. (Government bodies) should have the authority to certify which food is of good quality for public consumption. It is not right for NGOs to do this.”

UP government had taken steps

This statement of Sitharaman has come in the context of an order of Uttar Pradesh government dated November 18. In this order, the production, storage, distribution and sale of food products without Halal certification has been banned with immediate effect. The state government in its statement said that “malicious efforts” have been made to discourage food products lacking Halal certification in the pursuit of “undue financial gain”.

What is ‘Halal Certification’?

Just as there are many ideas regarding vegetarian and non-vegetarian food in Hindu beliefs. Similarly, in Muslim religion also there are many opinions regarding food. One of these is ‘Halal’ and ‘Jhatka’. In Muslim religion, eating ‘Halal’ meat is allowed, but ‘Jhatka’ meat is prohibited. These two meats are determined by the way they are cut.

Therefore, if a company has to sell its food items in Muslim populated countries, then it takes ‘Halal certification’. ‘Halal certification’ is actually a guarantee that the food item has been produced in accordance with Muslim Sharia law. There is no adulteration of any kind in it and no animal or its by-product has been used in it, which is considered ‘haram’ in Islam.
