7th Pay Commission: Modi government can soon give good news to government employees. If media reports are to be believed, the government can increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of government employees by 4 percent in the last week of Navratri i.e. September.

If this happens, the DA will be 38 per cent. Central employees can get increased dearness allowance in salary from October 1. With 38 per cent DA, the salary will increase to Rs 27,312. Also, DA arrears can also be received from July.

DA can increase so much

The government can increase the Dearness Allowance by 4 percent in Navratri. The figures of AICPI-IW on the basis on which dearness allowance is decided have also come. The figures for the first half of AICPI-IW (All India Consumer Price Index- Industrial Worker) have come. It gained 0.2 percent and it has reached the level of 129.2 points. This is the reason why the expectation of increasing DA before the festivals has increased. Government employees and pensioners will be benefited by increasing the DA of the government.

The basic salary of the employees is Rs 56,900, they will get DA of Rs 21,622 if there is 38 percent dearness allowance. At present, Rs 19,346 is being received at the rate of 34 percent at the rate of 34 percent DA. The increase in DA by 4 percent will increase the salary by Rs 2,276. That is, about Rs 27,312 will increase annually.

Government employees will benefit

By increasing the dearness allowance of the government, 50 lakh employees and 65 lakh pensioners of the country will benefit as their salary will increase. At the beginning of the year, the government had increased the DA by 3 per cent, after which the dearness allowance had gone up to 34 per cent. Now due to increase in DA by 4 per cent, dearness allowance will increase to 38 per cent.
