DA Hike: Central government employees are given good news about dearness allowance every six months. The new dearness allowance for central employees will be implemented from July 1.

But it is expected to be announced by the government in the month of September or October. Actually, the government revises the dearness allowance of central employees twice a year in January and July. At present, 42 percent dearness allowance is being paid to the employees by the government. On the basis of the AICPI index of June, it will be clear that how much will be increased in the next dearness allowance by the government.

Expected to come into force from this date

If the government increases the dearness allowance by 4 percent in the month of July, then the DA of the employees will increase to 46 percent. That is, from July 1, the DA of the employees will be 46 percent and on the basis of this, the government will pay DA till December 2023. After this, the next increase in DA will be applicable from January 1, 2024. Although the DA of January 1 is also expected to be announced in the month of March. If the DA is increased by 4 percent from January 1, 2024, then the dearness allowance of the employees will increase to 50 percent.

DA increased to 42 percent, after which central employees will get dearness allowance of at least Rs 9000 every month. This figure has been given on the basis of minimum salary of Rs.18000. According to the salary, dearness allowance will also increase. Earlier, in March, the DA of central employees was increased by 4 percent by the government. After which the DA had increased to 42 per cent. This increase was implemented from 1 January 2023. The next dearness allowance will be announced in July 2023, which is expected to be 4 percent.

Good increase in DA is expected

Let us tell you that this time also there is hope of a good increase in DA of the employees. Let us tell you that the rule of dearness allowance is that when it is 50 percent, it is reduced to zero. Earlier, when the government implemented the 7th Pay Commission in 2016, the dearness allowance was reduced to zero. According to the rules, as soon as the dearness allowance reaches 50 per cent, it will be reduced to zero and according to 50 per cent, the DA employees getting the money will be added to the basic salary i.e. minimum salary.

According to the above rules, there will be an increase of at least Rs 9000 in the minimum salary of central employees. If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18000, then he will get Rs 9000 of 50% DA. But, after DA is 50%, it will be added to the basic salary and again the dearness allowance will be reduced to zero. After that again the same rule as before can apply.
