UIDAI has given information by tweeting that if any agency or any Aadhaar asks you for a charge for update, then you can take strict action against it. You just have to call 1947 for this work.

The information issued by the department, Aadhaar is an important document, so in such a situation, you should link all your important documents and keep it in the bank, so that there is no problem of any kind. The Income Tax Department has also tweeted about this, which states that as per the Income Tax Act, 1961, the last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar, for all PAN holders who do not come under the exemption category, is 31.3 .2023 is. If PAN is not linked with Aadhaar, PAN will become inactive.

CBDT issued alert

Let us tell you that the date of linking PAN with Aadhaar has already been extended several times. This time the government is not in favor of taking it forward, so you should link Aadhaar and PAN as soon as possible. Alert has also been issued several times by the CBDT regarding this.

Will not be able to link later even with penalty

CBDT has said that if your Aadhaar is not linked with PAN then you will be fined Rs 1000. Along with this, the government has said that you will not be able to link your PAN with Aadhaar even after imposing late fee. No such offer will be given to anyone.
