Actually, the central government has again extended the deadline to link the ration card with Aadhaar. The last date for linking ration card with Aadhaar has been extended to 30 September 2023. This information has been given by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

This information has been given by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

Earlier this deadline was till June 30 It is mandatory to link Aadhaar card with ration card for the beneficiaries under Antodaya Anna Yojana and Priority Domestic Scheme. White card holders will have to digitize their ration card first and only then it will be linked to Aadhaar card.

Ever since the government has brought the “One Nation One Ration Card” policy, the emphasis is on linking the ration card with Aadhaar. Its main purpose is to stop the disturbances happening regarding the ration card. There are many people who misuse this card and get 2-3 ration cards made at different places.

Netra Mankem, Deputy Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies Department, in charge of digitisation, told that there are 2.56 crore ration card holders in Maharashtra. According to the Economic Survey of Maharashtra, 24.4 lakh people are beneficiaries of the Antyodaya Anna Yojana, which provides highly subsidized food to the poorest families.

Here is the easy way to link Aadhaar-Ration Card

First of all open the website of Food Department.
After this, select the option of ‘Link Aadhaar with Ration Card’.
Enter your ration card number.
Select the option of ‘Link Aadhaar and Mobile Number’.
Now enter your Aadhaar number.
An OTP will come on your phone, enter it.
Link Aadhaar Card with Ration Card.
You will get an SMS after Aadhaar-Ration Card is linked.
