Air India Update: Air India is going to recruit 1,000 pilots, airlines released advertisement

Air India Hiring Pilots: Tata Group Airlines Air India is going to hire 1,000 pilots. Air India will be hiring for the post of Captains and Trainers. On the occasion of World Pilots Day, Air India has taken out this vacancy. The Tata group is busy expanding Air India, for which new aircraft have been ordered, so now the airlines are going to recruit pilots on a large scale.

According to the advertisement issued by Air India, the airlines will hire 1,000 pilots. According to Air India, we are going to provide immense opportunities and growth by hiring for the post of Captain, First Officer and Tenors for A320, B777, B787 and B737 Fleet. Airlines told that it is going to add 500 new aircrafts to its fleet. Recently, Air India has placed orders with Boeing and Airbus for new aircraft, including wide body aircraft. At present, 1800 pilots are associated with Air India.

Pilots of Tata Group’s distance airlines will not be able to apply for Air India pilots. Also, along with Indian citizens, Indian citizens living abroad can also apply. In the selection process, those applying for the post of Trainee Pilot will have to give a written test. Apart from this, Psychometric Test, Personal Interview, Simulator Flight Proficiency Test, Pre-Employment Medical Test, there will also be a background verification test for the applicants. On one hand Air India is busy in recruiting new pilots, on the other hand the problems of airlines have increased. Air India pilots have appealed to Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata to intervene following the management’s decision to revise the pay structure. More than 1,500 pilots of Air India alleged that the concerns of the pilots are being ignored and they are not being treated properly. Air India’s pilots union, the Indian Pilots Association (ICPA) and the Indian Pilots Guild (IPG) have rejected the pay hike framework for pilots and cabin-crew members.
