After the recent military conflict between India and Pakistan, the airports which were temporarily closed are now being reopened. Flight operations resumed at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Mohali on Monday.
Earlier on May 7, the Indian Army attacked 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, after which there was a military conflict between the two countries for four days. However, on May 10, there was a ceasefire between the two countries with mutual consent, although it was broken for some time by Pakistan, after which India issued a strong statement.
32 airports will open soon
32 airports in India were closed and 25 flight routes were also temporarily suspended. These airspace restrictions were first imposed till Saturday morning, but were then extended till 5:29 am on May 15.
Now, the process of reopening these airports has started. These airports include Adampur, Ambala, Amritsar, Avantipur, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kangra, Keshod, Kishangarh, Kullu Manali, Leh, Mundra, Nalia, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, Rajkot, Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thoise, Uttarlai and Ludhiana.
